Hello again guys! So after a few weeks off from camping and farming i've decided it's time to push for those last 29 mounts needed for the mountain o' mounts achievement and thought that it would be fun to start a mount journal. Yay
So the last time I went for anything it was camping Aoenaxx, took me close to two weeks of non-stop camping and many many red bull's, but eventually he was mine. Now it's time for TLPD. I've read nightmare stories about this fella so I figured it might be wise to get him out of the way first! So here I am, parked up in Bor's Breath, settled in for the long haul and ready to hate Vyragosa as much as everyone else ^.~

Had to go out for a while earlier so my day of camping didn't quite happen. But about 2 hours into it, I got ganked by a rogue, yay. Despite his friendly spawn camping, I managed to rez and mount up hoping that he'd leave me alone, seeing as he couldn't get to me an all. But no, in true douche cake style, he starts flapping around me and once he realised that wasn't doing anything, tried moving out of sight, hoping i'd move closer to the ledge again. Had a few like that camping in Deepholm so I know not doing anything just annoys them and they get bored and leave. Which after about 20 minutes, he did.
10 minutes later, another guy flies up to me on TLPD, this time he's alliance. He tells me he just got him down by the waterfall, wishes me luck, and flies off. I couldn't belive I'd been so close and yet so far.
Before porting out to go do some dailes, I pulled up wordpad to note the time and spawn point - something I've got into the habit of doing with rares now. I always keep WoW windowed, but maximised, with anything else windowed on top of it so I can still see and hear if NPC scan goes off. And low and behold, it did, almost giving me a heart attack! I couldn't see the name or portrait since wordpad was covering it, but figured it was going to be Putridus since i'm always picking him up from miles away. Regardless though, i minimize wordpad and I swear, I went into shock xD Weirdly enough, the first thing I noticed was the - in the name. And then, the guy himself, Time-Lost Proto Drake coming right at me. I quickly shot off a fire blast, knowing full well there were a good many others around and he came for me. I could see his health dropping fast and honestly thought someone else was attacking until I realised it was just a DoT
He fell at my feet and I looted my new mustard mount. Thank you gods of RNG!
P.S. Turns out the alliance guy was an alt of the rogue who attacked me. If he'd just stayed around to bother me more instead of trying to make me leave, he might have got there before I did. Karma sucks, bish.

Haha, thanks! Yeah I was actually dumb struck by him spawning so soon as i'm usually the unluckiest person in my guild (which is why i prefer solo farming - i never win rolls!) Going to finish off my kurenai rep now for the talbuks, I know they're not rare or anything, but they're so pretty and so few people bother to grind it that hardly anyone on server has them - I think i've seen one, maybe two people with them.
Will do a daily run of Sethekk halls and a few of Stratholm, see if I can get lucky again and pick up one of those two mounts
Also still saving for the lovebird. After buying the things for the achievements, the pet and a dress, i'm back down to little over 100 tokens, but there's still plenty of time as long as i keep going out to Icecrown and farming those mobs of converted heroes.
So not posted anything lately as there's not much to report. Picked up my Love bird and bought all the talkbuks, which I love to peices. New favourite ground mount methinks. But as for Anzu and Rivendare, well, they seem to hate me. I was prepared for a long wait for the Raven Lord, I mean, doing the dungeon once a day is going to take a while and that's fine. But I'm now up to 140 Rivendare kills and there's not even been a hint of his horsey. Three runeblades though, not that they do me, a mage, any good xD
I don't know if I've ever mentioned it, but i'm a big collector of non combat pets too, currently on 86 and lately i've been after the azure whelpling to finish the set, and the toxic wasteling. Every day i've gone into SFK and i've only ever seen 2 wastelings drop, neither of them mine. So now that's it for a year and no pet for me, which kinda sucks as I didn't get lumpy over christmas either. My guild leader however, got 2. Oh how I wish Blizz would make them tradeable, at least between party members. It sucks that such a cute and limited edition pet has to get deleted because someone already has it!
As for the azure whelpling, I am now on about 11000 winterspring kills and no sign of that either. I think RNG hates me
Anyway, just a pity party post, i'll update properly when something actually happens.
