I wasn't planning on rolling a 5th hunter on Argent Dawn... But I might actually give the red panda a try as a hunter. X.x

I like the different screenshots! I'll have to see all the face options and how the red vs black looks ingame. We'll see! :)

What kind of species gets to choose whether or not it has a tail? Sounds like it will even be a barbershop option. This bothers me more than the silly undead clothing.

Red Pandas with tails? Interesting. I'd like to see screenshots of that.

Lore wise, I assume its a "subspecies" or "genetic throwback" kind of thing perhaps? Sort of like sometimes Manx cats have kittens with long tails?

Ah. I see blizzard knows how to appeal to the female furries as much as the males. A nice slightly over proportionate figure that pardon the expression is just that right size. The detail looks to be very nicely done with better emphasis on the fur as opposed to muscle tone and hair thickness like they did with the worgen. Overall it looks like it could be a nice addition. Too bad I can skin it! "insert evil laugh here"

This - I didn't want the female pandaren to be either sticklike or round like the males; using the female dwarf frame as a template lets them be sexy in a cuddly, natural way. :)

They look too cute and cuddly for me. Hopefully they will have fiercer looking faces to choose from on the character creation screen. I'm 99% I will not be making a panda anyway. I leave 1% open because my bf is on a mission to convert me to becoming a panda lover. He has been since Bizzcon.

There seem to be some cool things though coming up in MoP. I still get the feeling that the whole expansion is too fluffy (pardon the pun) and cartoony for me but I'll reserve final judgement until it's out, of course.

I like the female worgen. They look like lean mean killing machines. You can choose whether or not you want their faces to look softer or more ferocious. IMO, they're supposed to look like a human/wolf cross and they do.

Actually none of their faces change. They all look ferocious. They don't look soft at all. Now if they gave us the option to have the snarl or not have it, I can then say they give us an 'option' to look soft or ferocious but they most certainly don't and that was one of the biggest pet peeves about it that people complained about.

Its all a matter of which direction you look at the female from, side she looks mean...front shes all sweet. xD

Imo the worgen snarl should have been an animation that happens occasionally (like maybe right before or after they do the sniffing thing), and during combat - not a static feature.

People didn't like it when it was just hunter pets who had it, so not sure why Blizzard thought it would be well received on a playable race, but there you go.

I think the main issue I have with the face is how...not-panda it looks, especially the nose and snout. The shape of the nose and the puffy mouth look more like a cat, or even a rodent. It's not a bear nose at all. We've only seen the one face for now though, and they did say they'll have other customization options. At the moment I can't get past the gratuitous :3 shape though, you know?

The nose seems turned in the wrong direction. x)

Yeah, a little bit Meg. I'm not as hung up over the cutesy fact as I am that it just doesn't look panda-ish, not like the males do. Again, this is only one face option, the only one they had ready for now, so I'll withhold judgement until we see all of their face options, I'm sure there'll be some different expressions and hopefully different nose and mouth shapes. I don't' mind if they want to put in a cutesy face in for those that want it, I just hope that it's not the base shape for every single one, because right now my biggest complaint is that it looks more like a rodent.

The males have a nice wide snout, a proper looking nose, and just overall a much better bear feel.

Definitely agreed.

@Veph - I'd not mind them staying the way they are. Remember what happened last time everyone whined/complained about alpha models(female worgen in particular)? We got stuck with 100x more uglier ones that made the Alpha models look beautiful. This is my biggest fear....everyone complains about the nose and then we get an uglier model later. :(
