Otters! I'm hoping they're either tame-able or have a companion pet version.

Also, I can't wait for the turtles, if they're tamable (don't see why they wouldn't be, but I've said that before and the beast wasn't, so who knows.) Those turtles are absolutely gorgeous.
That eye disease is exactly why I don't like him :/ I prefer the greyish white anyway, too, since having seen live white tigers every day for three months I can say that they are more likely to be either grey and dirty or yellowish dirty unless they just came from a swim :)

Edit: see, especially while seeing them side by side I prefer the "grey white". I understand that Blizz make white creatures bluish so they kind of pop out better from their surrounds but it really annoys me.

To be fair, it is a fantasy game, which gives them the chance to put in whatever creatures they feel. Heck, there's an ugly green and orange one there too. To me it looks so out of place. xD

The more I look at them, the more I'm starting to prefer the greyish-white one as well. I bet that if that frost one wasn't there, the white one would seem less 'dirty' and people would probably like it more.

I'd rather be it so theres a rare and a common that share a skin. That way it pleases both rare hunters and people who don't like to hunt rares. But what ever.

^ i dont like rarespawns, i dont like having to camp them, its not fun and its not productive in any way and it kills my experience. Rarespawns frustrate me, they serve no challenging purpose. If it was a challenge tame like molten front rares, then that'd be acceptable if it was a common since you have to work for it, not sit in your chair for hours on end with twenty other hunters circling you or patrolling overhead over the spawn points.

*throws in her two cents here in her own personal opinion about rares*

Camping serves no exciting challenge to the game to me. If theres going to be a rarespawn, then make a common spawn elsewhere so we can continue on with our lives. Theres too much content anyways for me to want to stand around missing out on all the fun cause im trying to camp a unique creature that i may not get to tame successfully for anywhere from the first spawn it makes live to possibly a month down the road according to how my life plays out during my camps and also what other players do when the creature spawns, and when the creature spawns to begin with.

Rare camping isnt fun to everyone and it shouldnt make a difference if you decide to go after the rare version rather then the common >< The NPC ID's are different so you still have a special pet while everyones walking around with the same 'look-a-like'. Rarespawns are more favored for sitting at hunters sides then commons cause everyone wants to show their catch to the hordes and hordes of players in cities and dungeons and raids, it doesnt become special anymore if theres no common look-a-like to make it boring to the rare hunters.

Nooo, don't take away my beloved, common browns!

Since we're on the topic of rare spawns I thought I'd throw in my two cents as well. Rare spawns for me aren't important. I do find them interesting, especially ones like Vyra/Time Lost where you're trying to figure out their spawn times and such. But I think that making a 'common' version of every rare hunter pet would be the same as going 'Well, I don't like to camp, so they should maybe make a common version of Time Lost that's easier to get for the people that don't like camping/having to find it out of pure luck.' There already are some common versions of some rares but there are some that are meant to feel special, therefore rare. For example, Terror Spinner is a rare that shares a model with common mobs, but it's just a spider with webs on its legs. It's not... bright blue with glowing eyes or anything. Whereas Loque'nahak is a spirit snow leopard with bright blue eyes and a unique model. I can't imagine a creature like Loque having a common mob version really.

As I said, rare spawns to me aren't important, but I do feel that some should be left rare and that's all. I think that if you don't want to camp, don't camp. You don't actually need to camp half the time anymore for rares. Just wait until the crowd goes down. Heck, an hour or so ago I flew around Sholazar Basin and found Aotona and King Krush on a whim. And I'm on a high population server too with rare hunters and mount collectors all over the damn place. I've been unlucky with Time Lost and I do camp him here and there but I don't see it as a necessary thing to camp him in order to eventually get him. Just do quick trips in the mornings before college/work/whatever and who knows what you'll find.

So, basically, in this situation and assuming that the bright-white tiger is rare and the other isn't, you can camp for it if you like and you can tame the other if you don't want to camp.

We find northrend rares more easily now cause hardly anyones in northrend anymore. Its nearly two expansions old now. And mounts are totally different then hunter pets, or at least in my opinion they are. They shouldnt have a common spawn since they serve a totally different purpose and can be used by every class. Spirit beasts are justs hunter pets. They're no different then a creature from another family except the heal perk (not including appearence here). I would like to see a common of spirit beast models since the NPC ID will be different. No one knows how hard you worked for a rarespawn, no one knows how -you- felt when you were doing the camp and when you found it, its all personal preference. You know you have the rare, others who have their scanners ping or cache around your beast and no one elses who shares the same ID will know you have the rare.. its like Humar and Pitch. Or Tyrant Devilsaur and King Mosh or the Devilsaur Queen. Peole who want the rare for whatever reason passes up the common spawn. Having a common type doesnt devalue the rare in any way.

Anyways, even though we're technically discussing what the white tiger might end up becoming in-game, my interest is starting to shift over to the dragon turtles. We've already seen common skin turtles (brownish orange with grey shell) in a screenie in Pandaria, but what about the dragon turtles? Has anyone seen them walking around in the wild o.O Im reeeeeeally interested to know if we'll encounter them as tameable beasts or not, since we've confirmed they will be mounts as well. *wants an onyx+red mount and pet*

:0 *must of missed that one in the MoP pet thread* eeeeeee *hopes onyx and red is availible* currently that is my top favorite one and i am dying to get my hands on it XD i'd love to see a mount run animation on them and a run animation on the cranes. Ive never seen a mount turtle run, ive only maybe even seen two at most live before (the derpy fished up green one, havent seen the blue) but they were just sitting idle in town.. im just wondering how wonky the legs might by at speeds of 100% XD the cranes, im hoping they wont look as akward as the tallstriders. They shouldnt tho, but just to be safe so i dont expect to love them instantaneously if/when we get the a-ok to tame

Ehhhh.....thats kind of a bad comparison. Mounts are different than hunter pets by a wide margin. That's like comparing a rose to a cactus.

I was just trying to make a point. I wouldn't want unique rares to have a 'common' mob equivalent, that's all.

But technically the grey tiger is exactly that, a grey tiger.. not a white one, not a black one.. its a color all on its own.. if it was to be a common version of the white, then we need it to be a common version of the black cause its too dark to be a common alternative to white Image

Least, thats what i see. Shades are finicky, colors speak volumes.
