Hydras & Any spec for any pet

Can anyone confirm this is implemented?

Blizzcon they said you can chose which talent tree you want (so dps turtle or bear for example)

Checked on pet specs, doesn't look live just yet. The builds are going to be staggered in stages fer sure. Haven't had a chance to check hydras.

I haven't heard anything regarding either of those topics yet.

Keep in mind the talent tree selection was an idea mentioned, but it was never confirmed or said to be guaranteed that they were doing it, merely they were considering it. If we do get that option, it might not show up until later in Beta. The same could apply for tameable beasts, they might not have any of that flagged in this initial release, it could just be focusing on the new Pandaren starting area and not much else.

Pet spec window doesn't even look available. And pet trainers offer a respec, but it does nothing. So definitely something is up with it. Could have been my UI. I'll double check it and reset it just in case. But alot of stuff isn't live yet for the beta.

Im thinking like Veph said they will start slow for beta then pick it up. Right now they seem to be concentrating in the starting areas first.

*nod* With the way they're going to release beta content in tiers, I'm actually not expecting any of the fun hunter stuff to show up just yet.

This first phase of the beta focuses on the 1-10 starting experience for new Pandaren. High-level content as well as template characters will become available in future beta updates, but you can still copy over your own high level characters now if you’d like to test the new talent system.

With the talent overhaul, I think it would be weird if the pets retained the old form of talents. I am quite excited to see how they do talents for pets, hoping they will switch it up.

And choosing pet spec would be AMAZING.

Hunter pets in general seem rather confused at the moment overall? I've heard and seen people have their pets in giant sizes, retain their original skills or other aspects from before they were tamed and all such oddity. (This video is jokingly narrated with things like "Hunters were buffed!" but check it out anyways for the pet size bug: http://youtu.be/tIf90n4Q36k )

I think someone mentioned in another thread that hydras were still flagged untameable at the moment? It's very, very early in the beta though so I'm not ready to give up hope just yet.

Yeah right now I can't even access my pet's talent page at all, and I went to Zoram strand to see if the hydras are tameable but they aren't (yet)
