Finally... after two years? I got the last achievement from Yogg-Saron!

I have been obsessed with Mazzranache ever since I started playing the game. It was the first pet I really, really wanted and so, on my Draenei hunter, at level 10, years ago, I ran all the way to Mulgore to tame myself a level 9 plainstrider. I've had that same plainstrider ever since.

A few years ago, when the Argent Tournament first came around, I found out about the Mulgore Hatchling. I knew that someday, I was going to get that pet, even if I wasn't sure how - and what happened but one of my best friends spent 2k gold, which was a big deal back then, to buy me my tiny Mazzy.

This year, I vaguely know that Love is in the Air is going on, but I didn't know that the Swift Lovebird was available until mere days before the end of the event. I wasn't sure how I was going to get all the tokens I needed thanks to my health. I didn't know if I was going to be able to devote the time to farming that I would need. But I pushed myself and pushed myself, but I finally did it. Today, did all my dailies and farmed up the last eight charm bracelets I needed.

Today, I have my three pink plainstriders. I feel like I've been working toward this since I first started playing WoW. I actually have cried over it, I'm so happy. My plainstriders! At last!

Logged on Rassaa after a long wait and decided to make myself a new Transmog set. After coming to a standstill while waiting for the shoulders I wanted to get on AH, I decided to run Kara again for old time's sake.

I had began the yesterday in kind of a slump, two of the best people in the guild left and joined a raiding guild Their alts are still in the guild so it's not like we've lost them forever but I was still a bit upset about it. We lost our best tank and a damn good Shaman. We have been trying to get more active members but it's so difficult being only level 19 when there's already loads of level 25 raiding guilds set up and ready to take people. We had I think 6 active members plus a couple of others but they never replied to invites and such. Nice to have helpful members. Meh it's a social guild what can I expect.

Anyway I was running around Tol Barad Peninsula herbing, fishing and SLAUGHTERING AS MANY FOXES AS POSSIBLE since I was down on flasks, food and I want my friggin companion fox pet after months of doing the dailies, getting to exalted and obtaining both the mounts from the commendations and it STILL not dropping. -.-
I was swimming towards an Azshara's Veil when a DK invited me to a group and helped me run across the water using the icy path thing. A nice rarity someone who is willing to help just because they can! I told them they really didn't have to as I was just doing mundane things, they could leave whenever they wanted. But no, they stayed and helped me fish for eels and herb my water plants. I let them fish in all the shipwreck debris I came across and then they started asking about mounts. I helped them out with a few mounts like the Ice Mammoth and told them how to get the polar bear and they were pleased they now knew how to get them.

Eventually they went back to SW, I was very grateful for their help. They left and then went offline, still grouped up with me. I waited half an hour to see if they came back and was about to leave the group when I thought "Hey, perfect opportunity to convert and go run Karazhan!" So I converted to raid and went to one of my favourite raids to see if the mount and gun from the big bad wolf dropped.


I was soo happy I was dancing in my chair!! Ok the DK might have liked to come along but he was half an hour gone, I took my moment and won!


Until I got it I didn't realise it had massive fangs O.o

So yeah nice ending to a pretty meh beginning to the day. The gun didn't drop due to it being the 4TH WEEK IN A ROW of the Romeo and Juliet event >:@ it's almost as bad as trying to win loot on raid finder. On top of that I got to exalted with the violet eye. I've been running it so long without doing any of the quests I got to exalted. I know it's been well over 20 times I've killed Attumen, Still think I got lucky!

A little update from myself as I've been fairly lucky in the last couple of weeks!

First off, my guild has been running OS3D 10m for the past 4/5 weeks or so with a group of around 7 that was initially constructed by myself and one other person in the guild as we both collect mounts. I've been drooling after a Black Drake since the day I first saw one but I kept losing the rolls =/ I get quite deflated when I lose rolls on things that I want A LOT (I want most things I roll on but some more than others ) but I just kept at it. It got more difficult though because as soon as the other friend I mentioned got his Drake (on the second week might I add) he wanted to do the 25m version right away before we all had our mounts. Talk about impatient. He started refusing to come with us as he didn't want a lock out so it was difficult to persuade enough people to come, our group isn't big afterall.

On the 5th run (I think) it was down to me and the guild leader who still wanted the drake and when it came to rolling he passed so I could win it! He's not as bothered as I am about collecting mounts and stuff.

I was SO SO Happy! This mount replaced my Red drake as my archaeology mount because it's so awesome!

A few days later I finally got a into a group that did "For the Alliance" properly. They had loads of people, went from Undercity to Silvermoon to Thunderbluff before tackling Org. My realm is ally heavy but the Horde always overwhelmed us in past attempts due to the lack of decent geared people on our end. Also in past groups we always went for Garrosh first which lead to many wipes and disgruntled players leaving before doing the other places.
This time we SLAUGHTERED them and I gots my bear!

Not a mount really but something which will lead me to getting a mount! When I save enough to afford it...

This feels like my 8th jar but I'm not 100% on that fact. It took AGES to get this Canopic jar to pop up on my Arch table, made a nice little packet from all the cat statues, mosaics and paintings but I really just wanted one jar! I had been bitter the night before because of the amount of time I spent looking for this recipe compared to my guildie's FIRST Canopic Jar containing it! The next Arch loot is another Jar... see now that I have it I want the pet or the mount to show up.

And lastly we head back to Obsidium Sanctum. Now I had complained about my Guildie wanting to go straight to 25m version and the week after I got my Black Drake I again tried to get the 10m version up for the remaining people to get a chance at the mount. However no one seemed interested and we never ran the raid that week. Last week now (Although actually this week as it was the day before yesterday. But as it's Wednesday and the realm reset... yeah) I again tried to get the run going again but no one was up for it... Ok weird, I thought people wanted the mount but nevermind. To be fair once of the last two to get the mount weren't online (neither was the guildie who adamantly wants the 25m) but the Guild leader was. I saw in chat someone was getting a 25m version together so I thought "why not" and joined in.

Honestly after the 4/5 runs it took for me to get my Black Drake I wasn't expecting anything, especially as this was going to be my second run ever in OS 25m. The raid leaders had said that they run this every week so no worries if I didn't win, I was welcome to join in again.
We wiped once due to a bug where Sartharion was getting healed and and wasn't losing enough hp at all. The second time however went really smoothly and he went down fast, the loot came up and the rolling began. We didn't have a full group of 25, around 9 although not sure form the SS if anyone left before I took it. It had been commented that there were too many.
I rolled need, as did everyone else then the results came up and I was in shock when I read the following:
"You won Reins of the Twilight Drake"
"You receive loot Reins of the Twilight Drake"

I had won with a roll of 97 which beat other rolls of 94 and 89 plus other high ones.



I'm still in awe of the thing, I've always been envious of players who own one and now I have my own! So while I still adore my Black Drake, this really is the pinnacle of favouritism just now! I've been highly enjoying such chores as herbing and fishing purely because I get to fly around on it!
