That's quite the destruction. Given that the hole in the middle of Theramore looks to have some magical residue, I wonder if Jaina could have done this?

I was thinking the same thing.

The hole looks spot on where Jaina's Tower is so either she blew up her own Tower defending Theramore or the Horde had another one of those bombs like you see in the Stonetalon quest line and just dropped it right there.

But looking at the images, a part of me does feel sad that it get razed, but another part is like, heck I hardly even went there on my Alliance toons so kudos for Blizz for doing something with the area.

We datamined the list of scenarios mentioned in the game files of the Mists of Pandaria Beta, not much but there's a Battle for Theramore there for those of you who were wondering if something is going to happen.

If Theramore is destroyed, and the purple crater we see in that persons rendering (the youtube vieo) is true, the crater will have been caused via teleporting or some extreme arcane force, which continues to lead on that the tower was teleported to saftey. Jaina is quite powerful and i wouldnt put it past her if she did 98% of the work in teleporting and all her fellow mages could only amount to the last 2% since she is quite powerful, and we havent seen her real self reeeaaallllyyyyy angry yet XD

I don't think she'll be killed off. But I kinda like Jaina going mad....its character development. She helped her father get killed, watched the Alliance and Horde fight despite her best efforts to stop it. Suddenly shes seeing her only 'family' die. That's more than plenty to make someone crack and release the emotions she's suppressed for years.

Do I think she'll be killed off? Nah. Not likely. She's too important. Too much of an icon. It'd be like killing off Thrall.

Well the Lich king and some of the big bads where pretty big icons aswell and we killed them so I'm not going to say we will or wont kill her. It could happen just as much as it could not.

I don't really consider it 'insane'. Insane would be more like how Malygos was. He was driven into madness, to the point his speech became repetitive(only seen in the books. I was pissed the game didn't bring it over cause it kinda killed his personality a bit). I just see it as a grievance. She's witnessing her entire family get slaughtered when she did nothing to provoke the attack. I'd be angry and distressed too.

Arthas actually wasn't much of an icon. Neither was Illidan. No one really knew who the hell they were deeply unless they played Warcraft long before WoW's time. And neither of them are loved as much as Jaina is. Most people I know were happy to kill off Arthas, even those that did play the Warcraft games.

And unless you, again, played the warcraft games or read the lore on wowpedia, most had no clue who Deathwing was or why he was bad. He wasn't loved by any means either.
