Some Beta Questions New Question 4/1

Going to put my Beta questions here instead of spamming another players board or making multiple boards when I get a question-new question at the bottom of the page today!


So I had a random thought today while watching some youtube channels of Pandaria.

Shade to herself: All of my toons are Alliance, I should level a horde toon again, that way I can see the Horde side of things during this big war that is going to be coming. Hmmm... whenever I start a new character, I send over bags, a little gold and whatever heirloom items they need from my main toon-which is why I never make horde anymore-because I can't send gold and bags from my alli main to a new horde. Can I do that in Pandaria when I want to start say... a panda hunter? Or maybe a panda monk? What about sending gold to them, is it even possible to do so before they pick a faction? Because if so.. that is a really easy way to send gold between your horde and alliance toons. Send gold from my alliance toon to an undecided panda, then make the panda pick horde? That would seem easy-but doesn't Blizzard not want us sending gold between the factions-which is why I never stick with trying to make a horde toon these days, because I dislike having to start from scratch in the bank essentially.

So....

Is it possible to send items/gold to the pandas before they pick a faction or does Blizzard have some kind of block in place for that already?

Hard to say in beta really. I imagine they will put a block up for that though.

I know plenty of people in beta are sending heirlooms to their pandas in the starting zone, so those work for sure, but they aren't limited by faction regardless. I haven't tried to send gold or anything, not too sure on that one, I'll try next time I'm on.

I figure as much, was just curious if there is even a way in Beta to try to see if you can send items between your beta toons?


And another question-you level 1-9 with a random player, have a lot of fun and put them on your friend list (but not RealID). You play one night alone, hit 10 and choose Alliance as the faction to go to. A day later, you're at lets say level 12 and you see your friend in passing-only to find out they picked Horde! (*boo hiss*)

Can you still talk to them, or, in choosing your sides, did you guys suddenly, magically, become unable to communicate?

Alright, just hopped in beta to try sending gold to my panda. I can't. I get the error 'Target is unfriendly'.

As to your other question, unfortunately I just think you won't be able to talk to them after.

Well that makes sense I guess, they've not been inducted to your side. Thanks for checking I was pretty curious about how Blizzard was going to address that.

Okay so I have a new question today! (And its not an April's Fools type of thing.

^ I was watching the video of the T5 Talents in beta that is at the bottom of the Hunter's Union's front page today.

When it does call beat-the hunter in the video has his pet dismissed-can you use this ability with your normal pet out? So in effect you have your regular pet and then when you use this ability it summons a wild pet out of the blue to attack alongside your pet?

Also anyone else notice the new skinned tigers that come to call with Call Beast? All the other creatures that come when called are tameable-which makes me really think that we might get the new tiger skins as pets (figured we would but this just makes me think its even more likely).

You can't send mail to new Pandaren (I don't think there's even a mailbox in the Wandering Isle). You also can't "friend" anyone you meet on the back of Shen-zin Su. If you are in a group when you choose your faction, that group is disbanded upon the choice, even if both of you choose the same faction. Yep, there's a lot of steps undertaken to stop accidental cross-faction communication.
