Reputation glitch? or change in how it works?

was doing Underbog over and over, getting Sporeggar, Cenarion and capital city rep (tabard rep).

I was NEARLY at exalted... so nearly, actually, I was exactly ONE point away from exalted: 20,999 rep points to get exalted with Undercity. And suddenly, no more rep. Nothing. Zip. Zilch. Nada. Rien.

Just the other day I did the exact same thing with another alt, and got all the way to exalted with her in the dungeon, I even changed tabards to switch to another capital city which I had not leveled yet.

So today, I switched out to another tabard and the rep started pouring in for THAT tabard. I thought it might be a glitch so I went back to the 1st tabard, and again, nothing. And of course, obsessive me, I continued with the new tabard, raising that rep to... you guessed it, 1 point before exalted. And again, it stopped.

For both those cities, I had to go do one meesly low-level quest, for 1 single point of reputation. Annoying, though not the end of the world.

But I don't understand why suddenly today it won't raise rep to exalted, when it did a few days ago.

and the issue seems to be either fixed, or only affects certain dungeons.
today I'm soloing Black Morass and got to exalted with one rep. I thought it would stop at -1 point, like the Zangarmarsh dungeons.

The only explanation I can come up with is what you already mentioned, that it must be the Coilfang dungeons being bugged.
I haven't noticed it, but I know one of my shamans is close to exalted with Orgrimmar, so maybe I should try going there and see if the same happens to me.

I'm working on getting the bow from Black Morass (it is HAWT!!), but soon as one of my reps on that toon gets close to exhausted, I'll go back to Coilfang and see what happens.

I've had my eye on that bow for a while now, but haven't found a toon it looks right on.

it took around 12 run-throughs of Black Morass (it gives good rep too.. none of my toons were exalted with Keepers of Time yet) to get the bow. The very first "boss" of the event drops it.

The hardest thing about the dungeon is.. patience! LOL at level 85 its' a breeze, but it's timed for lower level players to have time to eat and drink and rebuff between waves of mobs and bosses. The first few times I was stressing out because I couldn't find the next portal... because there was none yet. Six portals.. and a looooooooooooooong break, then six portals and another loooooooooooong break... LOL Still a fun instance.

This instance looks like a leather-wearers dungeon as far as loot is concerned. At least, that was my impression.

Soon as servers are back up, I'll take a pic of my hawt new bow.

Can confirm it's buggy in Coilfang:

As soon as I reached 20.999 reputation with Orgrimmar, I started gaining 'horde' reputation. So I guess Orgrimmar ain't horde anymore.

Edit: Just went in there on heroric mode, and got exalted with Orgrimmar on my first kill.

well, I HAD opened a ticket regarding this issue.. but apparently, there is a 9 day waiting time for response on tickets.

yes that's 9 DAYS.

I got a "case closed" mail from Blizzard regarding this ticket.

It basically said: "Go look on WoWhead or WoWWiki for information"

I cannot find a SINGLE comment on the WoW forums that isn't pure horse-pucky.

people are going on about how the dungeon has to be your level to gain rep, or that none of the Outland dungeons give city rep, etc...

I know that these are not true, because I just got 4 toons to exalted doing exactly that. level 85s doing level 60-70 solo dungeons in Outland, with the occasional foray into the two beginner Northrend dungeons.

I even got (a miniscule amount of) rep from doing some much lower level instances, like upper and lower Blackrock Spire.

I KNOW that Outland dungeons give city rep, because I hit exalted in the middle of either Botanica or Arcatraz, I can't remember which.

So Coilfang really seems to be the only bugged dungeon.
