If there is any what are the crab skins being used?

Mostly just cata crabs. No special skins for them either (I can't remember which ones exactly). I've been keeping a super close eye out for the silver crab but I should probably be looking at these Cata crabs closer to make sure they're not the three unused skins.

Aww bummer I like the vanilla ones.

Yeah, today I went over every bit of land I could and saw no vanilla crabs. But hey, it's early beta so there's still a chance they could add some!

btw, I'm going to go ahead and say that almost every crane I eagle eyed had a diet, even when some beasts like wolves or cats int he zones I found the cranes in didn't, so I'm guessing that cranes will almost certainly be tameable. Yes, a diet doesn't necessarily means anything, but if the majority of cranes contain diets, and most wolves or tigers don't yet (this is all out of the jade forest that I'm talking about) then I'm pretty confident. ^^

Oh, and I forgot to post this earlier because I was suffering from some vitamin b12 deficiency and felt like crap, but I found the parent.


I'm not quite sure if Xuen is male or female... but the cubs talk! And they're ADORABLE.

I am loving. Loving. The Sha-Haunted creatures. Its like the Oil-Stained Wolf all over again. I want ;~; i hope i can figure out a way to pull off a successful appearence buff tame (that is if its a buff and that its appearance only)

mm looking at the Siberian tiger god model (Xuen) it seems he wont directly tamable but will be similar to har'koa

So guess we get a new loque'nahak like tame with a similar skin is going to be fun.... >_>

So many neat new beasts. Is it any wonder that when I log onto the beta server, I go around beast lore'ing just in case something has become tameable? Shucks, I even took a quick trip up to Scholazar last night just to look at hydra.

At least things are tameable for the most part in the old world, took my lvl 14 panda hunter out to test once I got there and was taming everything around Org.

And I just found Ghost saber so that kitty can still be found and presumably tamed... my Skoll killed it before I could give it a chance.

Thought I'd give it a try and see if they have removed it but it's still there!

Going to have a hard time deciding what to let go now with all these lovely pets coming. And those spirit cubs are to die for! xD

Sorry for the minor Mr. Grumpy Grumpersson moment, but what's with Blizzard making everything transparent lately? Is it just me or has anyone else noticed this? IMHO the datamined model looked better with 100% alpha. u_u (Then again this could just be some kind of vision from ~the past~ or whatever which could explain the transparency, but whatever. It just bothers me personally that I can see the polygons through the model/textures as if it was unfinished.)

Otherwise I'm thoroughly enjoying all the things you guys are posting! Looking so very pretty so far.

The gods in WotLK (Zul'Drak) werent ghostly, and even tho all but Har'koa used a generic model, i think it really made them quite attractive graphically. Quetz'lun was only transparent (living and talking, not her deceased body) cause she pulled us into her little 'underworld' where we saw her spirit. Rhu'knok's body was solid but his spirit was etheral.

It almost makes me feel like this god died and came back like a spiritual entity to watch over the land. Plus he/she looks a thousand times less handsome/beautiful by being etheral. I would of rather seen another play on Arturis' ghostly appearence for a transparent god model. They put way too much work into this one imo for its life to be sucked right out and it looks like, in those screenies that the model had its colors inverted.

Yeah I was actually kind of "WTF" when I saw Xuen was semi-transparent.
Yu Lon, The Jade Serpent, is not transparent.
Niuzao, The Black Yak, is not transparent.
and Chi Ji, The Red Crane, is not in the game yet as far as I can tell (the temple of the crane isn't skinned yet), so I don't know if he/she is transparent or not but I doubt it.

Now, I do have to say that they did better with this transparency because it's not like the spectral cats such as Magria, Ankha, and Gondria. It starts off as a solid model so you don't see the other side of the model through one side, but still... why is it that a pretty cat can't just be solid? <.<
Perhaps it's a bug. Which is likely in beta. Could be how the Dark Phoenix was at the beginning of Wrath.

I dunno, at least this is just a god and not tameable. Perhaps if we get a spirit beast it will be solid.

But yeah, at least it's not like spectral cats with polygons showing everywhere. That bothers me so much when I'm trying to get a good screenshot, hehe.

On another note... I see Xuen having a tameable mate even more now... I mean come on, cubs! Yeah sure I guess gods might not really have to have a consort to get some cubs, but I'd say it's something to go off of!

I wonder if Xuen's consort will be like, 5 zones away as well.

I know you were just speaking among the 4 pandaren gods but i was going broader since theres many more gods in WoW and consistency is something that people prefer unless its monotonous and boring ^^ And to read Doom's reply with the other gods (least, 2/4 gods yet to be seen in-game, since we know what Xuen and the yak looks like in-game) which says that the other gods arent transparent, it makes it even more sad to see this is a transparent model. It was beautiful, gorgeous, sexy, and now its a cat shape of inverted desaturated, transparent colors with big black outlines >< (whats up with creatures getting thick colored outlines nowadays anyways? The skeletal hounds, the crane, Xuen, its a little strange)
