Everdeen's Hunt For 25 New Pets! - 25/25!

I've always had a huge soft spot for those wolves. Something about them is so sleek and wonderful, I also love their running animation, it looks really smooth but I can't quite fathom out how. Also the barking when you click them really helps, it really makes me love them! There was just no way I could make a new list of pets though and not have him in there!

OH MY GOD. I cannot... I don't... I have no idea what just happened. Or why the Blizzard Gods decided to suddenly bless me today but HOLY HELL. I have a story to tell.

So I thought I'd take the next rare off my list, Kirix. So I wandered into the Molten Front and looked around for him, nothing. But in the distance I could see Skarr. He was already cached so NPC Scan wouldn't go off. I thought I should go and tame him for sure while he's up or knowing my luck I'd never see him again. Jumped across the rocks, got the wind buff for extra haste, tamed Skarr with no problems. I'm very picky with talents so all my pets talents for each pet type (Ferocity, Cunning, Tenacity) have to be the same so I got around to doing that. After that was done I decided to Eagle Eye around for more rares. Deth'tilac was up. I shuddered at the thought of taming him but, he was on the list, I needed to at least try.

What followed was the most stressful hour I've ever had on WoW. Deth'tilac is so bugged right now it's ridiculous. If I turned a corner out of sight of him, he would reset. Sometimes he would reset for seemingly no reason at all. But I kept trying and trying and trying. Eventually I asked for help. No one helped. Until finally some wonderful rogue from the heaven of rogues (Because rogues are an evil class normally.) decided to help me out. He let himself be killed along with my pet at least three times and, finally, I tamed Deth'tilac. I don't think I had ever been so thankful in all my WoW-life. I gave him 100g for the effort and we parted ways. I ran back up to the Malfurion's Breach to talent up my new pet spider in peace. When suddenly...

NPC SCAN! Kirix is up! All I could think was, what on earth, how can NPC Scan pick up Kirix from here? But still I ran up to his spot and there he was, running around, freshly spawned. I tried the normal tactic a few times and failed. So I thought I'd cheat. Hey, the rocks are there, why not use 'em? Jumped on one of the floating rocks, summoned Ghost, used Ancient Hysteria, pressed tame, bam. Mine.

After this I sat around a while and waited for Solix to spawn, of course. He's the last Molten Front rare on my list and god forbid I've only been here a few hours. Enough was enough though, one can only have so much luck in one day so I decided to leave him for now. Solix, I will have you.

So, after much luck and stress, my new companions!

First is Altair (Told you I'd name one of them Altair to complete the set!) who is, in my opinion, one of the coolest, most badass-looking cats in the game.



Next, Amethyst! Named so because of the bright colour.



And finally, Lime! My favourite of the lava spiders, being BRIGHT FREAKING GREEN and all.

Awesome tames!!! That's great that you managed to get help from someone. Hey, he made more money by helping than if he had ganked it. Although...with his repair bills, maybe he didn't come out ahead after all. Still, it's always wonderful when strangers lend a hand.

Yeah, I recently spent all my gold on a Mechano-Hog and the fastest flying skill so I had just over 1000g on me, didn't want to give him *too* much.

I had a dream about Solix last night. It was a weird one but it reminded me at least that I've totally forgotten how to tame him, I'll have to look that one up before I head out to Molten Front again.

Grats on the shiny new pets! Somehow Deth managed to climb to the top of my "Favorite pets" list, despite the fact that I was *sure* I liked Solix more. Oh well. He's just such a beautiful color!

Me and the family went out today but right before we did, I snagged two new beauties - Ankha and Solix! Both were just waiting to be tamed. Also it seems that the Molten Front these days is *very* dead and empty, when I got there Ankha, Ban'thalos, Solix, Skarr and Deth'tilac were up and when I got home *five hours later* Deth'tilac and Ban'thalos were still there!

I decided a while ago that the three spectrals cats would be named after my three in real life kitties, including Poppy who vanished nearly a year ago. Since Poppy was almost called Pinkie when she was a kitten, I decided that pinky-purple Gondria should be called Poppy. Ankha would be Blossom since Blossom is mostly black and white with some orange and Magria would be Ruby since she's completely greyish-blue and the breed is called a British Blue. Works perfectly!

So here's Blossom! I hope to soon grab her mummy and her adopted-sister. ♥



And after a failed attempt at taming Solix, I grabbed him. He nearly accidentally killed him. x) But here he is and I named him Amber, to match Amethyst and Lime.



This completes my set of cunning pets! And my first spirit beast! I fear the hardest to get will be the red Madexx... *Shudder* Let's hope not!

I found Ankha's mummy, Gondria! Well, Blossom's mummy called Poppy at least. x)

Wow, the Blizzard Gods love me. o.O On a normal fly through Sholazar Basin I wouldn't find a single rare, this time I found both the rares I wanted in just one fly through!

First I found and grabbed King Krush. Despite the title of 'King', mine is a female named Cera. :3 I really love this devilsaur skin though, bright greeeeen. ♥



And right after I noticed I had five active pets on me so I went to put a few away in the stable, somehow knowing I would come across Loque'nahak and... indeed I did.

His name is Mystral. It was originally going to be just Myst but it felt too short. Also he's the spirit of my favourite animal, the snow leopard. ♥

Grats on all your tames. I really enjoyed reading your posts. It's clear you're having so much fun with all your new pets and that took me back to the days when I was first camping and taming my first pets too. I find Deth to be the hardest tame of all the MF spiders. Even harder than Kirix. I don't think his resetting is a bug. I think it just happens when you get too far away from him or LOS, like around that one corner. I've tamed him a few times and don't even bother taking him around that corner anymore. I just make sure to have a pet and trap down at the end then disengage through him back towards his original spawn point. Rinse and repeat!

Thank you! It really is quite fun, hehe. What's best is knowing I also have a soft spot for all of the pets I've tamed so far.

And what you said about placing a trap down and disengaging through him, that's actually how I ended up doing it haha. I found that if I went around the corner I'd aggro just about everything and possibly lose LoS with Deth so I ended up sticking to that one spot. I still had a few problems with it though, he once seemed to reset for no reason at all, he was no less than a few feet away from me when he did. But thanks to that rogue I got it done a lot quicker and with no problems and I'm really glad I did. Kirix I didn't find to be a problem since I 'cheated' and used the core hound buff and tamed him from the ledge. Most people consider it cheating because it's not the challenging way to get it done but those ledges are there, why not use them, hrm?

I only have six more pets left to get and I'm a little worried about getting the red Madexx since I barely see him at all and he can spawn in five different colours at random. Today I found him in black and I've found him once before in brown and that's all. But either way this really is a fun little journal to be doing and I'm glad people are reading and enjoying it. ^^

I give you extra luck for Madexx. He honestly, I think, is the hardest pet to camp, just cause of the 5 colors he can spawn in.

Went to check for Magria quickly before bed. Nothing. Decided to pop into the Molten Front to see what rares were still up. Eagle Eye'd over to the ledges and caught a night elf hunter who had *just* finished off taming Karkin and then he ran around to where Deth'tilac was and started to shoot at him like he was gunna tame him. I ran over to help but he feigned death to get Deth off him, I wondered wtf he was doing, so I feigned as well and then he summoned his pet Deth'tilac. o.O Of course since he was Alliance I couldn't ask him anything but I emote'd him a /frown and he ran off. I got the impression he was probably just doing it for some fun since no one was around and he thought, since I was there, I must have wanted it to so he left me alone to tame it in peace.

I had a bit of fun with Deth'tilac myself before leaving him alone (He's been up for over 12 hours now, so much for rares despawning over time hehe.) and wandered around a little before checking *one more time* before bed for Magria, then I would log off there and head to bed and check again in the morning.

NPC Scan. Magria. Omgwtfbbq Blizzard why do you like me so much all of a sudden.

Had the urge to check for Madexx when I woke up, went straight to Uldum... There's red Madexx. Nope, I couldn't believe my eyes. And during the tame a level 83 even flew right over the top of us and ignored us completely. I'd got there just in time and I felt stupidly lucky for it. Three seconds later and I might have come across a dead red Madexx instead.

I named him Omega. I wanted to call him Lucifer but it wouldn't accept that. >:c But I thought Omega sounded nice too. I still can't believe it.

Wow, I saved Sambas from being attacked by some meany druid who had their eye on him! I tamed and whipped him up as fast as I could!

And now Leonardo is in the family. ♥ Only three more pets to go!

Wow, that Madexx is really lucky. xD I can never find the color I want! Ooo, I'm jealous. I've been wanting a rad Madexx.

Thanks! And indeed, as soon as I found him all I could think was 'People are gunna hate me for this.' >.<

Searched most of the day for Skoll, Karoma and Terrorpene and no show from any of them. Not too surprised about Skoll though, he's barely ever up thanks to all the Time Lost campers thinking they can get him to spawn by killing Skoll... There's only like a 10% chance a hunter will actually get to tame him when he's up. :/

LOL. xD I would love to. Maybe I should make my own luck charms or something.

My boyfriend says maybe I should make a list of all the mounts I wanna get and do it like the hunter pets list and maybe I'll walk into Storm Peaks and Time Lost will just be waiting for me. xD I wish.
