Yes, I agree that the void terror model would have made a WAY better upgrade from the felhunter. I love that model and would love it soooo much if we could have it as a pet. However I can see why Blizzard went for the beholder instead, as it is basically a core hound type mob. I know it is a demon, every one else in this thread know it is a demon, and I am sure other players in the game knows it too. But you can't deny the fact that to a whole lot of people out there, when they look at it, all they see is a core hound. Now we can always explain it to them, some will get it, while unfortunately too many will just go "lol its a core hound u noob". And that was why I posted about people being stupid. It was not directed at people here at all, but at people on the game. No one here is stupid and never did I think that. But with over 10 million players on WoW, we can't avoid stupid people from showing up online. We all know they're out there.
Anyway, maybe we can get lucky and people at Blizzard change their minds about this. Personally, I'd rather have the "lol its a core hound u noob" comments show up than the "dude why the **** do you have a flying pulsating asshole next to you?!" ones, which I'm already getting in the beta.
