Re: Glitch tame Pets
It might be. I had other hunters in the area trying it for hours too with both methods...and they didn't get anything either.

Re: Glitch tame Pets
So if the Oil-Stained wolves and birds aren't working now..... I'm assuming this means the Lone Hunter, Angered Arrokao Protector, Fire Boar, and any other Perma/Temporpary appearance buff pets won't work as well? Could this be the end of it all? I'd like to see a bunch of veteran tamers of this method go out and test it again, just in case everyone who has recently tried it has just had really bad luck.
Imo, just saying: "I BELIEVE they are still tameable," isn't a good answer, unless it has been straight up proven. The youtube vids I've watched all seem to have been posted, at the latest, months ago, so you can throw those out the window as far as proof goes.
These recent posts in the last few days suggest this method of taming has been fixed once and for all, but this is just a theory. In the coming week, I will be investigating this thoroughly, as I have been a huge fan of this method since it's discovery, and I would like to suggest others experiment as well. Once this method has been in fact proven to work or not, all us who are worried about it will either be able to take a big breather, or mourn and forget a lost taming method. Remember, however it turns out, Blizz, as far as I know, has not removed any of the glitch pets previous hunters have owned. This suggests either the method does indeed still work, or the hunters who own the shiny pets have been grandfathered in to keep them. Whether this long lasting method has truly been fixed or not is completely unknown for a fact. However, I would like to find and hear more about this.

Well my own experiments have proven they have indeed fixed it for good. But feel free to give it a shot.Rarehunter1 wrote:So if the Oil-Stained wolves and birds aren't working now..... Re: Glitch tame Pets
Oh wow. Reading through this, I hadn't seen or heard anything about hotfixes for these. I have the oil wolf and fire boar but I let my Lone Hunter go (the knife started really creeping me out and making me feel bad for him) awhile back. Good to know. Thank you!

Re: Glitch tame Pets
Hello again. I have made a thread explaining my experiments and results with taming the glitch pets today. Unfortunately, you're not going to like it.
Re: Glitch tame Pets
Doh! Had my Oil-Stained Wolf for only about a month before I took it into arena by mistake. Lesson learned
I'll have to check my stable tonight to see if my enraged raptor has still been pushed too far.........
