Panda district?
I know there is an obvious answer to this somewhere..
When the pandas make the choice (horde or alliance), where is their home base? Do they have a district or tree (like the worgen) or can they sail back to the homeland? If they can go back to Pandaria where is the ship? Thanks!

Re: Panda district?
They can go back and forth to Pandaria. Watching Jesse and Crendor's beta streams there is a area that the 85+s toons build up on Pandaria, complete with a portal to Org. I am thinking that becomes the horde base in the area and assume there is a like area for the alli toons.

That is the series of videos that I am referring to. Look through the Jade Forest videos to see the base they are building.
I have not seen or heard anything about the staring zone being a returnable place. There is no way that I've seen on streams for high level toons to get to the wandering isle, and I think the pandas go to storming or org when they reach a certain level, but I am not sure. From what I've seen it's like the goblin and worgen zones, zoned and inaccessible after you level out of it.

Re: Panda district?
It's an interesting question, how much of a presence they will have in SW and Org. If there were going to be Pandaren districts, wouldn't they already be in the beta? We may end up with not much more than faction leaders, quartermasters and monk trainers!

Re: Panda district?
At the moment in beta, Pandaren characters start on The Wandering Isle. When you choose a faction, you are teleported to Orgrimmar or (I assume) Stormwind. So far as I know, there is no way back to The Wandering Isle - or at least I haven't found it - similar to what happens when you finish the Goblin and Worgen newbie areas.
You can, however, hit the level 85-90 Pandarian zones later on (presumably when you are level 83 or so - I don't know exactly).
I haven't seen a Pandaren area in Orgrimmar or Stormwind yet, but then I haven't looked either.

Re: Panda district?
I don't really see this happening. The pandas who join the Horde and alliance will be going back to their home lands when we go to Pandara. Besides where would they set up shop? The garden in Stormwind? Just at the base of Thunderbluff? No its going to be lazy programmers saying they have the entirety of Pandara to call theirs.

Well, that's more the design team...Measa wrote:I don't really see this happening. The pandas who join the Horde and alliance will be going back to their home lands when we go to Pandara. Maybe Blizz will introduce a new mini-pet golden dragon to pay for that work...

Re: Panda district?
Well they will have to offer a general location for you to get your panda type mounts, the dragon turtles... and as someone said, quartermaster and monk trainer, so it's probably one of those things that is NYI

Re: Panda district?
They included Worgen and Goblins in Org and Darnassus because they don't have a major city. If there is not going to be a major neutral city in Pandaria, I can only assume that they'll try to include pandas somewhere or another. I've got my fingers crossed for them fixing the park in Stormwind up and give the druids their place to hang out back, then add in some panda stuff. I hope they fix the broken statues too, and the front gate ramparts. I'd hate to have to look at Deathwing's destruction for another 4-5 years...

Re: Panda district?
Agreed, The rebuilding of both cities should really have been completed by now. They could put a panda district in on that long road out of Org heading for Azshara. Plenty of space there not being used currently, and perfect spot for an Inn for people questing in Azshara.
Speaking of Goblins, when the hell are going to see their leader? With the exception of the starter zones, we never ever hear from him again.
