Range of Eagle Eye Reduced?

I've been camping for TLPD for the past week. In boredom I made it a habit to scout all over the place with Eagle Eye - I was able to peek all the way to Grizzly Hills. Until today, apparently.

I woke up today and logged in, immediately doing my usual round with Eagle Eye. Except this time it would turn off FAR earlier than before - what used to be able to reach everything in Storm Peaks, can't even get to the Snowdrift Plains now (me sitting at the Frozen Lake spawn point.)

Was this indeed a sneaky overnight ninja-nerf or is there something else going on on my end?

This is something I've noticed on the Beta, it breaks off far sooner than a few days ago. I'm not sure how to improve it... turning the graphics right down doesn't seem to help. I always thought it was my problem as I thought, it it doesn't load the new area fast enough it just kinda crashes and breaks off.

ive been using the macro for it to allow me to cast it similar to the shamans far sight and it cuts off abruptly as well, i cant get past a certain point in any direction when a few days ago i was using it to see across half the continent out of bordem (on live)

We are not aware of any changes that may have been made to the Hunter Eagle Eye spell. I am sure that if there is an issue with the spell now that the developers will make the necessary corrections again in future hotfixes/maintenances though.

In the mean time we will pass over your report to the testing teams to have a look in to.

Received a response to my ticket I opened in the morning.. Ok fine it's a GM and their replies should be taken with a grain of salt, but could it be there was no intention of nerfing it, but it was an accident? I sure hope so, such a nerf was really uncalled for. :(

Since the new zone is open, eagle eye works fine again, I've been exploring Krasarang Wilds, the pretty zone just above 4 Winds... /happy

From what I've gathered from my own experiences, it seems like there are just random times when Eagle Eye does not cooperate. I find it happens more often if you're looking past a mountain or giant outdoor wall, but it doesn't always bug out if I do that. I'm thinking it might be a good idea to bring this up on the forums. There are times when I can't even Eagle Eye across a zone, which I find very strange.
Then the other day on beta I could Eagle Eye all the way to the end of Townlong Steppes, and a while back I could see EVERY zone from Kun Lai Summit. It's just so weird and inconsistent.

Oh, except Krasarang Wilds. I've always been able to Eagle Eye there as long as I'm in Valley of the Four winds. XD
