Insect Pets <3

Was at the beach this weekend, and spent the whole time ogling isopods:

Commonly called a 'sea roach' or 'rock lice', its scientific name is Ligia exotica.

I think they would be too challenging to keep as pets, though.

Moths are easily the cutest and most adorable things ever.
If only they lived longer. I have a massive phobia of dead insects too so...

Here's a few pics I took earlier today of a beautiful dragonfly I saw. A beautiful dragonfly that has a light brown, maybe a light rust color to it. I could not have picked a better time to take those pictures. When it took off right before I got a first shot at it, it came back at the branch and stood still long enough for me to get a couple pictures in WHILE it was eating a house fly. I was surprised seeing as house flies are fast but apparently not as quick as the dragonfly swooping at it like a falcon.

I'm fine with insects as long as they stay out of my house - if they dare...well, then it's a matter of how digusting they are: either bring them out or kill them...sorry, have a phobia!
