As much as pregnant tummies in my face annoy me, I am really hoping you luck out.

Edit; okay, okay now.. what the heck is wrong with my bum and digestive system? I'm frigging bleeding. >.<

Edit 2: This seems really bad. And I can't for the life of me remember to actually get that doctors appointment either. I hope I won't need any surgeries..

Well fudge, my period finally came...six days late. At least I have an answer, so that's good. We'll just keep on trying.

Thanks for everyone's support.

I don't know if anyone reads this thread anymore but I remember seeing it a while back and thought it might come in useful one day since I'd be more comfortable posting about problems around people I actually knew, but... the issue I have is a delicate one to me and I don't want to be discussing this too openly. So if anyone could help me out and let me PM them about my problem I would be really grateful.

Edit: So good to know that people are thoughtful and helpful on this site. I'll go elsewhere.

Okay, not sure if this is my 2nd period this month still being in action, or the 3rd settling in. Either way, begone, I want sex now! >.<

My mom doesn't want me to get birth control because she thinks it's only for sex (I know it's not, but she just doesn't seem to get it). The problem?

The reason she had me: she had ovarian cysts. You know, those things that can make you need to get your ovaries removed if they're bad enough? You know, those things that are potentially hereditary and that I would probably be at risk for?

But no. Birth control is only for sex. It's not like my period ever has issues or anything, is it? It's not like sometimes it goes off schedule, is it?

And, even if it were only for sex, it's not like I believe your outdated ideas about sex, is it?

I started using birth control pills waaaay before I ever met my boyfriend, just to regulate my period because it was all over the place and sometimes the pains that came with it were so painful I'd curl into a ball and cry and couldn't move an inch. But since I started taking them around 3-4 years ago, I've had no bullshiting around with periods at all. It seems odd your mother won't let you have them. Do you have a boyfriend or anything? If you do, tell her this - would she rather you go without birth control and increasing the risk of you getting pregnant by around... 99.9%? I don't think she would. If you don't have a boyfriend, she's just being silly.

I use the pill because of the same reasons as Everdeen. I used to have my period every 3rd week so only 2 weeks of being free and it took over 9 days along with horrible cramps. I started taking the pill around the age of 16 (had my first boyfriend with 18) and now I have it at least regularely. The cramps are better (only 2 days instead of 5).

@Aela: if you have your next female doctor's appointment perhaps you can take your mom with you and talk together with the doc about the situation. This might help her understand your feelings and problems better and he can explain her the risks you might have and how high they are.

Today I went to my doctor to remove the birth control implant I had in my arm. I figured it was about time I gave my body a break from the extra hormones, as I've been on either pills or the implant ever since I was sixteen. I have had irregular periods, often every three months, and then usually thrice in a row, in addition to losing my sex drive.

Now it has to be said that I am a huge wuss when it comes to needles or bloodwork, so I had been dreading this day. She had to give me a double dose of the local anesthesia, since I could still feel everything after the first load. Luckily, my bf was with me since he had to get some vaccines, so I could hold his hand while she took it out. I whimpered and cried a little the entire time, and I had to get two stitches. My arm is numb. I think the next birth control method I will use, if I decide to resort to hormones again, is the patch. For now, we'll use condoms. I hope my body will work better now, and that hopefully my stomach will hurt less. Phew.

Miyon, can you not use the pill? I've been on that since I was 15 or 16 (20 next month) and I've been using it non-stop since then and it's wonderful. I don't know about some other countries but I know that I get mine for free here because I'm a student and because my mum did some shit for me which means I get free healthcare. xD I know other countries are different though. Birth control can be a funky thing to sort out though, but I hope that removing the implant makes things better for you!

And I'm frightened of needles too and I hate the sight of my own blood, it's quite common. When I was in the hospital a few weeks ago I had to have a midline in my arm. I refused to watch as the nurse put it in as it involved a few needles and not nice stuff, but of course, I did happen to glance over and just that almost made me black out. xD

I've used two different brands, and one of them worked perfectly fine, only problem is that I am unable to remember to take them in time.
Since I am past 18, I no longer get the pills for free, and have to pay everything by myself, but for now I'll see how my body sorts itself out while I'm free of hormones.

I kept my neck twisted the opposite direction. I know I would just panic if I saw what she was fiddling with. It was very good to have a hand to squeeze, and a nice face to look at while the finished. :)

Hey again everyone!
I've technically got this thing called clitorodynia I've had it for like 4 years now after what I think was excessive masturbation because I was insane lol I managed to last 13 years doing it that way though but everything's got to end somewhere, so I pretty much started masturbating at like 5 years old or earlier and got this problem at 18 and I'm now 22.

Anyways as you can see insane can cause some severe problems basically for anyone who is unsure clitorodynia is nerve damage and odd sensations or pain around the clit instead of the vagina hole area which is known as vulvodynia, although more rare mine still seems to be a lot better then the other one because mine doesn't have constant burning pain or I can't sit, with mine I can sit and I'm not in constant pain sometimes I don't feel it at all, other times I feel a weird feeling that's annoying beyond belief all day, so yeah it varies but it's not fun because I can't really enjoy myself anymore because I can't touch that area anymore I can still get a feeling further below but if I rub it too much it then hurts for like a week >.>

It's also not really treatable I mean if you want you can try cure it with anti depressants but I don't because the success rate is low and because even a small dose could cause some severe problems, because my mum had that happen to her and it was the worst time in my life ever because she was in hospital for like 3 months :(

So yeah I think I'll just wait it out if it's meant to go away on its own it will if not then I guess I'll live with it until they come out with something newer maybe or maybe not.

Idd... >_<
if you must remove the bushes, either trim the length, or wax it.. That barely itches at all, and nowhere near as quickly.
