Just curious, where are you getting all the gold to buy the expensive mounts? From other 85 toons of yours?

How is she supposed to have level 85 characters if she doesn't have Cataclysm?

I can only imagine if she has gathering professions she makes a buttload off of BC stuff. Both herbs and ore tend to be worth lots on both factions for my server. XD

That's true, people can't be arsed farming it half the time while leveling professions so they tend to feed off the auction house.

I currently have skinning and herbalism myself, but no one ever seems to buy my skins... :/ Thinking of switching it to mining.

Well Royi I am hoping to get my 100 mount achive before I hit 80 but I may end up getting it a few lvls past 70. I know the trick you are talking about, I got <the hallowed> last year with it ^.^ but it only works for that and brewfest since I needed to be 85 to get into the heroic versions of some events, or needed the lk xpack to zone in v.v I would love to stay at 70 but I have literally ran out of things to do on this toon. xD I’m one achievement away from battlemaster and will have 40 exalted reps at soon as I can get into northrend. That’s just about all I have left and after 4 years I’m looking forward to taming some nice 85 pets and whatnot. :>
I’m keeping my mage at 70 since they are way op at that lvl and hopefully in mop all my 70 achievements will be passed on to her. She can do better in arena anyway xD
As far as making gold goes I actually just sell a lot of raptor pets and white kittens now and then and then go fishing during dark moon fair, farming ore and leather now and then when the market is right. (which it hasn’t been as of late bc some crazy person is flooding the whole market x.X) I have no 85 toons so everything I make I make on my 70s ^.^

Well my comp arrived earlier this week. FedEx used an army of poorly trained gorillas on caffeine to deliver it but my dad managed to glue It all back together so to speak. If I’m not out in northrend by the end of tonight I will probably lvling on Sunday evening ^.^ too bad i dont have a pic of my new stuff to share. I should try and get one on later...maybe.

Well i lvld today. i got my 40 exsalted factions and my 100th mount at lvl 70- thus finishing up my last few goals for that lvl before i hit 71. Sadly i took some great screenies but this computer still has some stuff that needs to be set up and for some reason it didnt save any of my screenies =/ I will try and poste all my new mounts later but untill then you can just check my armory.

I would go to curse.com and download the Curse Client (sign up too its free)

Addons for rares:

NPCSCAN (this is the main go-to for rare spotting)
NPCSCAN Overlay (displays rare spawn points / paths)
NPCSCAN Autoadd (adds new rares to the npcscan database)
Silverdragon (works similar, acts as a 2nd check)

Ex:



Other adds I use:
Bartender (allows you to move buttons around all you want (see my sceen)
MikScrollingBattleText (makes your damage / healing / damage taken numbers look fancy)
Needtoknow (helpful addon that can track cooldowns of various sorts (say for a hunter bestial wrath, rapid fire, lock and load etc) ~I use this one mainly with my Pally and keeping track of Inquisition



With NPCSCAN you'll just have to delete a creaturecache.wb (forgot extension) when you want to reset your cache, in order for a rare to blaze at you in all the NPCSCAN glory when you come across them

DBM is pretty quintessential for a lot of people that do 5mans and raiding as well. (Deadly Boss Mods)

Yeah, Deadly Boss Mods is pretty much required for raiding. So's Recount if you wanna see how your damage/healing is doing. I find it weird though that those addons are considered 'necessary' and yet it's not something that Blizzard can even add into their own game. I suppose they might one day, kinda like how they made iLvl more important to get rid of Gearscore...

NPC Scan is super useful but super scary. It can scare the crap out of you if you're not expecting it. xD Overlay is also very useful, it'll display rare spawn paths/points on your map/mini-map.

Well, blizzard has added elements of DBM to the basic interface with certain announcements and whatnot. Its just not fully optimized like DBM is.

and yesss i cant wait to use poseidus and my sand vial now. I suddenly have SO much to do and only a few hours a day to get it all done!

Hahaha yeah that icecrown rare always pops npcscan for me in dalaran. He's just so huge the addon can pick it up from a loooooooong ways away. @_@

to use Vent its free, if you want to host your own in which others can join your specific channel, then you have to pay monthly or yearly (depending on where you get it from)

If you get the npcscan overlay you can find the rares easier, as it puts out colored areas where you can find the rares. Putridus only walks in a half circle around icecrown and hes huuuuuge so you can easily find him if you fly the path.

Putridus is detectable all over Northrend I believe. I've had NPC Scan warnings for him as far away as Howling Fjord before while I was rare-hunting, seemed really odd.
