SWTOR Conversation Question

Unread post by Rhyela »

My husband and I were arguing (well, not really "arguing" but disagreeing) on whether or not you gain affection with your companions if you lose a roll in a group conversation.

For example, tonight my husband and I were grouped together. We both chose the same response to a question. He got 40 affection with Doc, while I got none because he won the roll. He said that the affection will show up at the end of the quest for me. I thought that since I lost the roll, I wouldn't get it at all because I didn't actually say anything.

Does anyone know for certain which it is? If I'm losing that much affection because I'm grouped, I'm going to have to disband the group every time we go to turn in a quest. : / We still get LS/DS points, as well as social points, even if we don't win a roll, so I'm not sure why companions would be different. But still, I'd like to know for sure.

Thanks in advance!

I'm pretty sure you get it only IF you win a roll. The for sure way to test this is to drag two companions whom you know WHAT they like into say for Republic Esselas or for Sith Black Talon. Do it together, just you and him, and finish it. BUT keep track of who wins rolls and if you get any affection. Tally up the affection you should have gotten with your companion and then see at the end if its true. I dont think it is but thats the only way I know to test it.
