SW:TOR LFG x_x

Unread post by Rhyela »

Does anyone else have a nigh impossible time finding groups for heroic quests and flashpoints? On my Sith assassin, I have been trying for the past few nights to get a group to Hammer Station, and can't find a single soul that wants to go. It's horribly frustrating. I, for one, believe that the game could benefit from a dungeon finder feature. Maybe I just have crappy luck, but I'm tired of sitting on the fleet forever twiddling my thumbs waiting for someone to join up with me. Being in a guild might make it a little better, but I guess I just keep holding out hope that our friends will start playing again. :(

This is one of the reasons I quit SWTOR after the first month. While it is certainly not the only issue I experienced or feature that pissed me off, the sheer frustration of having to sit on that ridiculous fleet waiting for anyone, someone, god please, please, just someone, to accept...was definitely one of the nails that shut this particular coffin tight for now.

I think a lot of it is because there haven't been any server-merges, which... I can sort of understand, but at the same time the low pop servers are really, really dead. That wouldn't be quite so bad if there were server transfers or if they would just merge servers like everyone wants them to do. They have too many, and it seems like as people come back they're just rerolling on high pop servers because there's no point in playing alone. It's not a single player RPG like all their other stuff. (Though, I wish it was sometimes.)

Problem is that with the low population on servers after the first month, it really did feel like a single-player RPG. Groups were too hard to form, reminiscant of myself sitting in city chat in IF trying to find a group for Scholo or Strat back in wow-vanilla.

Dungeon finders are incredibly helpful, and I think for the most part a necessity. When I played SWTOR besides guildchat it just felt not populated. I could go hours questing without seeing another individual, rarely ever saw the opposing faction. Granted I only leveled up to the mid-30's, but something about this game was just missing.

If they made a single player version I could play through without paying the 15 bucks a month, i think I would complete the game. It was a great RPG experience, just wasn't as much of a MMO as I thought it was going to be.

As I've said to my brother, it basically feels like a single-player RPG with the added benefit that I can play with my husband. Outside of that, I tend to agree with what you guys are saying. Then again, that is fine with me because I have almost zero interest in raiding at this time. And while flashpoints are fun, I am just as entertained by the other storylines that I don't miss it too terribly much.

I just wish I could find groups a little easier with my Sith character. She's the one that I play by myself, so it goes without saying that trying to find three other people for a heroic-4 quest is...frustrating.

I wish (again) that TOR had been developed as single player with options to do certain activities in groups. :(
