Chromaggus sound

When I was in org yesterday someone had Chromaggus out but i was not hearing him. Did blizz make so the player that has him is the only one that hears him?

What do you mean by a sound? He has no flames so you wouldn't hear that. I have never heard my dragon puppy make any sounds at all except under attacking.

I don't know what idle animations Chromaggus makes/made, as I never saw him around the city. However, out in the wild, nothing annoyed me more than this pet. I swear I could hear him from half a zone away, and I am only slightly ashamed to admit that on two separate occasions, upon hearing this terrible sound, I flew around till I found the pet and his owner. I killed the pet several times (just the pet, not the hunter) until the owner got the message and started using a different pet. I'm sure even the proud owners of the dragondog realized how irritating it was. That said, I haven't heard anything out of Chromaggus in forever, he seems to be totally fixed. Never tamed one though so I have no idea what sounds the hunter using him hears.

Chromaggus doesn't have a smoldering idle sound like other corehounds, but then he's not really burning like the others do.

Are you referring to his old attack sound? Originally, tamed Chromagguses (Chromagusi?) were insanely loud. You could hear him just about everywhere in whatever zone he was in. That got fixed, though, so he's no louder than any other pet when in combat.

They used to 'boom' when they stepped, too. It's why I named mine Suzanoo (the god of thunder). Now, their treading is silent, and has been for quite some time!

I play with Chromag! He's pretty quiet. If standing in the city he'll act like he's doing a howl, but in reality he's just practicing yoga. He must be really good at it b/c he steps silently despite how it looks.
