whats harder SV or Marksman?

I am wanting to know which spec people think is harder for the rotation.

I've never played SV, but MM is pretty easy, though it depends on your haste;

I do this rotation normally:

Start with Hunter's Mark, then Serpent Sting, then rotate:

Chimera Shot
2 x Steady Shot
2 x Arcane Shot
2 x Steady Shot

If Master Marksman procs its free Aimed Shot, I'll use it whenever.

During the first 10% of a boss's health, I pop Rapid Fire and Berserking (since I'm a troll) and burn through the Careful Aim period with Aimed Shot and Steady Shot, to take best advantage of that period. I'll pop Rapid Fire again near the end to help finish them off, or during a specific burn phase if there's one.

Having played all 3 specs, It's hard to say which is easiest. SV (and BM) are a lot friendlier to movement heavy fights, and generally provide steady DPS. MM is all about burst damage, with the bulk of DPS coming from Aimed Shot procs, and Chimaera Shot. Chimaera is very costly though, which is why it's harder to use in movement heavy fights, as you spend a lot of time casting Steady Shot.

Also, Morven. I usually go HM, Serp, then Aimed, then start the same rotation you posted. By the time Aimed is finished casting, based on haste, your Focus should have replenished enough to cast Chimaera, making a much larger initial burst.

MM I've found to be much more difficult. You're so proc dependent, it's not even funny. D:

Isn't SV the proc-dependent one? Only proc MM has is Master Marksman and its free Aimed Shot.

Not that I've seen. MM has to keep up Steady Shot to keep its damage bonus or somethin last I remember.

MM has to keep up their haste buff with SS. I personally did the hardcast aimed shot rotation myself when I was MM which was pretty easy to me. The normal rotation most hunters used was hard to me lol. Surv is just really easy to me.

Im surprised people are saying MM is hard, its the easiest one for me and i do amazing damage. Its my def end game specc. With the perks of steady shot and rapid fire i can keep damage high and my focus regain ever flowing. If i need to move often i pop Aspect of the Fox and steady shot as i require to and of course pop my chimera and arcane shots

Personally I've always found SV to have the highest work:results ratio, but I don't raid or PVP, so I can't really comment on the broader picture.

I had that impression as well, though I haven't played surv in ages and may have missed some changes.
