Re: Evidence of taming goats?
Yah but really I dont think you can say blizz has ever done something like this where you are not exactly sure how you see "dangerous" in that animal.
We have moths, bettles, spiders (I know some are poisonous but youd never see a spider go out of its way to attack you) sporebats dont look dangerous and worms... they eat dirt, not people.
So really seeing a goat as a potential threat seems more likely then a moth. Moths just attack clothes, goats can also attack clothes but they have horns and hooves and a prey animal can either have a flight or fight personality.

Plate/mail would be hard to eat I think though so that would make it only useable against cloth/leather.
Though to strip people of there gear in PVP would be pretty awesome.

So are there any actual tameable goats right now? I saw a bunch of brown ones in Valley of the Four Winds but none were tameable.

There are some level 88 ones that are, north of that valley.

Re: Evidence of taming goats?
I love the new goats. I have been hoping that they would add in more hoofed animals as pets(still hoping for stags, deer, talbuks, zhevras and horses). I just wish that i could find other color goats besides the brown one. I'm hoping that the other skins will be available soon because i want both a blue and a white one.
I've checked across each zone that has goats and they are all the brown skin so I think that might be the only color currently available to them until they add in the other colors.
If anyone has seen a goat with a different skin besides the brown(or even one with the spots), please say the location.

Re: Evidence of taming goats?
Currently in WMV all of the goat skins show up as brown. It's a glitch, for sure, but that's the reason they're all brown in game. Something just isn't reading the other models. I'm sure it'll be fixed at some point. The quilens as well only show up in the stone appearance, none of their other textures are in WMV currently.
Re: Evidence of taming goats?
Ah so that's what it is! They have the shoulder bug. A number of shoulder models live in the game at the moment only display one default colour. I hadn't seen it with NPCs before

Re: Evidence of taming goats?
Can it be like a real goat? Yes. Can it be unlike a real goat? Yes. And we still don't know any more than we did before. That's why "may" is frowned upon as an argument - because it adds absolutely nothing to the discussion.cowmuflage wrote:It does not mean it has to be like a real goat. They can make it as realistic as they want it to be.
