Random Dog

I was looking at Doug, my dog in WoW, and I decided all of a sudden that I wanted to doodle a dog. Now, I never - EVER - draw anything on the computer. Ever. So be nice! I also didn't use anything as a reference. I wanted to see how close I got without looking at an actual dog (or in-game dog).



I know it's far from a masterpiece, but hopefully it's not tooooo horrible?

I must say though, that's one well-fed pooch! My dogs are overweight and I'm not sure even their stomachs are that even with the chest. I do have a boxer and border collie though, so maybe they just have tighter stomachs than most dogs. I'm not sure.

All in all, I do think it is a wonderful drawing, and the legs (like Veph said,) as well as the head are very well done.

Maybe it's part pekingese. My pekingese was rather round, even though I never overfed her.

Or maybe it's part weener dog... They're stomachs are notorious for dragging along, even when on weight....

I didn't think it looked fat. It probable depends on how much of the outline is fur
