Re: Herald of the Titans: Feat of Strength (alliance US)
I'm probably not going to be able to do raids unless us Petopians are going to be doing some gear up runs, so icc5 is likely my best bet.
I did see the toc5 219 shoulders, thanks for pointing those out. I'd be ok with a a set of 219 armor as long as the stats are strength DPS.
Weapons probably will have to be either STR/def stats or no STR/DPS stats.

Re: Herald of the Titans: Feat of Strength (alliance US)
Bah, that 63 alliance character I mentioned is totally on the wrong account.
There's always the possibility that I can just faction transfer my paladin for a little bit, but lately I've been feeling stingier with my money than usual.

Re: Herald of the Titans: Feat of Strength (alliance US)
I thought over 226 (IE the 232 weapons) weren't allowed for the feat? o:
Also I'd be up for some gearing runs...my toon has cata gear on so shes way too high.

232 is ok for Weapons / offhands / ranged / shields / wandsMeggers wrote:I thought over 226 (IE the 232 weapons) weren't allowed for the feat? o:

Sigils , Totems, Librams have to be 226 though
(since hardmode versions of bosses in Uld drop 232 weapons they allow that level)
from wowpedia:
Herald of the Titans is the achievement in Ulduar 10-player. Requires killing Algalon the Observer at level 80 by using the equip with the maximum item level 226 or 232 weapons. This included:
All loot from Ulduar 10-player, including loot from hard-modes and from Yogg-Saron.
Any 226 item level loot from Ulduar 25-player, Tier 8 pieces, or PvP gear.
Weapons (shield, offhand, ranged, etc.) can be 232 item level - including loot from 10-player Onyxia's Lair, Trial of the Crusader, and the Heroic ICC 5-mans: Forge of Souls, Pit of Saron, and The Halls of Reflection.
Sigils, Librams, Totems, and Idols can only be 226 or lower item level.
No raid members above level 80.

As a heads up, you can't buy a full t8 set from JP alone, just two pieces (helm and chest). There are also some lovely offpieces.
I wish we could pool JP between chars.
There are definitely plate dps pants in H ToC 5; they dropped for me on my last run.

Re: Herald of the Titans: Feat of Strength (alliance US)
Hmm yep, I see them now, at least for plate - I'm assuming the other slots are also available (rings etc). Not sure what I did wrong with the wowhead filters the first time but yeah a set of ilvl 219 should be fine, I can't imagine it needs to be sliced so finely that it would be "226 or bust"
.
One thing that seems strangely absent though are STR DPS weapons in the 219-232 range - it's either STR/dodge or AGI/CRIT (or something along those lines) am I missing something there too, or is that just how it is?

thats just how it is you mean for 1-h weapons I'm assuming correct? I'd go with those 2 from Onyxia myself, fancy procs
But from what I've heard, its not a 226 or bust, its just by being as highly geared as possible, it might make our room for error a bit more comfortable.
Also a reminder, we can use CATA- level Leg enchants (the blue versions, not the epic). Engineers can also put Synapse springs on their Gloves as well for a added boost.
I just xfered my shaman over to my main realm to help me boost her a bit more even (going to powerlevel engineering as her second prof tonight )

Re: Herald of the Titans: Feat of Strength (alliance US)
Well I'm happy to band together with you guys for 226 gear, that would be cool. But otherwise 219 is the most likely for me, as I only raid with people I know (e.g. seldom).
And yeah just for 1h wpns.

Yeah, I'm kinda preparing for the 5m gear myself and will make up the difference in gems and acceptable Cata type buffs.

How do clueless people like me find out what their battletag is?

Re: Herald of the Titans: Feat of Strength (alliance US)
You have to make one in your bnet settings.

Re: Herald of the Titans: Feat of Strength (alliance US)
Thats a great idea. We could even try and do perhaps 2 Uld runs. Say we get 6 people, 3 people go on 80s and 3 people go on 85s, then switch etcMeggers wrote:WTB battletags of peeps that wanna run 5mans and uld10 together for gear runs! And possible dates/times of when we can do it.

Or if we know enough guildies / friends etc that would help out we can just start doing weekly Uld runs
I'd like to throw in Onyxia too into the mix (232 weapons)
Worba, battletags are found from your battle.net main account page. you can pick anyname (ie Worba) and then you'll be assigned 4 numbers or so after Worba. Then whenever you log on, like real id, your friends will see you as Worba on whatever toon you're on (instead of your real name of Smitty Werbenjagermanjenson)

Re: Herald of the Titans: Feat of Strength (alliance US)
You'd be welcome to join us, but then again it would be $30.00 for one achievement though. Or if you can find a friend to RAF level, it goes fairly quick.Neilaren wrote:Bah, that 63 alliance character I mentioned is totally on the wrong account.

Re: Herald of the Titans: Feat of Strength (alliance US)
I've gone Inscription/Leatherworking myself, although in MoP I will probably end up dropping inscription for tailoring.
In MoP, leatherworking, tailoring and engineering are the only production professions that will have new perks available to level 80s (at this stage in the beta anyway). So if you plan to keep that character as an 80 twink (which you should! its fun!) you may want to think about holding off on professions for a bit.
Leatherworking leg and wrist enchants
Wrist: +500 strength / stamina / agility / intellect
Legs: +285 strength / agility and +165 crit or +430 stamina and +165 dodge.
Tailoring cloak and leg enchants
Cloak: +2500 intellect / spirit or +8000 Attack Power for 15 seconds proc with an ICD of 55 seconds.
Legs: +285 intellect with +165 critical strike / spirit.
Engineering got a new version of the synapse strings, increasing your primary stat by 2940 for 10 seconds. 60 second cooldown.
The new rank of lifeblood provides 1920 haste.
Skinning/Mining ones have not been added yet
The new Enchanting, JC and Alchemy perks have item and player level restrictions.
Blacksmithing perk still only has the extra 2 extra gem sockets and last time I checked inscription the new shoulder enchants were pretty dull and don't come close to the tailoring/LWing ones.

Wowza! So can a level 80 then level past 525 skill then??
I think I just might have to switch Inscription to Tailoring now

Thanks for sharing that before I leveled inscription all the way up. I'm going Engineering / Tailoring now myself

Re: Herald of the Titans: Feat of Strength (alliance US)
Yep, level 80 is the minimum level required for MoP professions and the perks listed above do not have any player or item level restrictions like the BC, Wrath and Cata versions, so chances are its intended and will likely stay.Royi wrote:Wowza! So can a level 80 then level past 525 skill then??

That said, it is still beta, don't drop or level anything just yet, wait till its closer to launch to be safe :)
