I've been thinking... Jade can come in colours other than green. You can get white, pink mauve, I think even yellow. Might be a great idea for a rare cat for the area, maybe the white one

This makes no sense.

It's not the same skin. Other cats used the model first. Skarr is still the only black gem skinned hunched cat, and Skarr is far from common at this point in time. I'd understand if they were all black gem skinned hunched cats, but they're not. They're green gem skinned. Cursed Offspring of Har'koa were the first hunched cats, so Skarr was not unique there (and the Tol'vir Tiger used the model before Skarr this expansion).

To be blunt, if he's quitting WoW over a stupid misinterpretation like that, can you really say you'd miss him?

Even if they were black gem hunched cats, that wouldn't DEVALUE Skarr. I totally understand liking rares and wanting them for their uniqueness, I mean I used to be in that position, but I really don't like it when people act as if their pets lose VALUE. The value of a pet should come from the heart of a hunter. And again, I understand liking pets that are a bit more unique and being upset if they become common, but I just wish people would get pets for themselves instead of for others to show off to. And I'm not saying everyone gets rares for that reason. I know that all too well, and I also know that not every hunter cares about their pets like this community does, unfortunately. Sorry if this strikes an argument or something, I don't want it to, it just makes me upset when people say their formerly-unique pets lose VALUE, as if they're worth more for being unique.

But with that aside, that was pretty stupid. I mean yeah, he used to be the only hunched gem cat, but he's still the only black one.

Oh I know. I was saying the same thing to him. I dont know who this person was honestly. They just asked in trade if anyone had a hunter main so I whispered him figuring I'd be helpful and then got pulled into that argument. He seemed offended that I didnt agree with him and told him that if thats what it takes for him to quit he just needs to quit now instead of when MoP comes out. "But blizz doing that is ruining the game and catering to the noobs. If I had to spend time camping everyone should. ITS NOT FAIR" Blah blah lol.
