I was also kind of trying to avoid the specific word "feather" for the sake of the OL wind serpent owners - leaving it open to interpretation in the eyes of the owner based on the pet skin. As Teigs recently pointed out with the demon dogs, a subset of a species shouldn't determine how all of them act - even if they were there first. It can make things messy (yes, spirit beasts, you are a massive pain in the ass) and less detailed in some ways, but at least it's one fewer case of hunter pets having phantom body parts....or dogs thinking they're cats. *peers at Skoll*

Oh right, derp. I forgot about the Outlands guys not having feathers. >_< I was having trouble thinking of a better substitute. I guess just "preens their wings" or something works.

Yeah, it's hard, because it reads well for the old world wind serps, but is jarring for the OL serp owners.

At least "preen" as a verb can stay; I just double checked its nuances and it's acceptable to preen with a tongue....which is good, cause I had no idea what wind serpents preened with otherwise! xD The more you know!

Redoul flares his wings wide...
...and electricity/static crackles along them.
...and looks to his mistress. When do we fight?
...and extends his fangs. When do we fight?
...to show off for (Friendly Target).

Yay for people caring about windserpents! And, upon further reflection, I guess I can stop being so stubborn about the feathers So that you know what is already there, here are screen caps of current windserpent emotes

Hee, agreed on the pheasant tail feathers. I can sort of force myself to see what you guys mean about fleshy tendrils, but it doesn't stick, all I see are long tail feathers on the vultures.

Ok, going back to lock minions. I want to give felguards some lines to say, like I did with the ghouls. Now, a ghoul (or geist come MoP) is a muttering sort of thing, so, it mutters. What would I use for a felguard? I could just use "says" but that's rather boring I think. Intones, states, remarks, utters.....? Its easiest if I just choose one, btw and have them branch off of that.

I think of Felguards as having an independent sort of streak, so maybe a bit of attitude could be shown by words like...

announces
sneers
boasts
demands
commands
taunts
derides/says derisively

Something like that, perhaps?

It goes against lore....but...how upsetting would it be if demons occasionally spoke Latin? I can't translate to Demonic, but Latin sounds good XD

Ok, using my lock's Metamorphosis and a few phrases I found on WowWiki, I came up with an assortment of things for them to yell in Demonic. Of course, Demonic isn't "really" language, but, we'll pretend it is. Felguard can now yell such things as "I will eat your heart" and "The Legion will take you" in the comfort of their native tongue.

When my pet emote was working I had a macro for my cat Ari that I would use randomly when I was targeting someone....
