So, as I was doing this, my Stalker addon popped. There was an ally in Silvermoon, somewhere; I looked around, only to realize she was RIGHT BENEATH ME, killing the L70ETC "band manager" npcs. I flagged myself and AoE'd below, and she backed up, took notice of me and began to casually DPS. I hit back, but not particularly hard yet.

I then Counterspelled her, and she called mirrors & ice-blocked, probably blinking and going "wait, what the hell?"

She then turned and began to go for a guard, probably thinking she was out of my range (assuming she still thought I was an NPC). Then, of course, I jumped right off my NPC platform and ran straight at her, casting and playing "right." She stood stock-still for a second, started hitting me again and then, realizing that the NPC was fighting back properly and winning, just tried to book it

I don't find it hilarious that I killed a mage (both our gears were crap), but rather from her perspective, that one of the supposedly friendly NPCs began to attack her, and then proceeded to jump down off the pedestal, CHASE her through Silvermoon, calling Mirrors and Iceblocking and Counterspelling properly before sending her on her way. I don't think I've laughed so hard in a good long time.
Talk about wrong place, wrong time!!
