How goes the Run through?

I'am up to nine kingdoms under my command now, just working on raising up my army, making it stronger. Almost out of room for recruiting, so mostly just training, still need to keep some free room so I can move my warriors around. I have an Axew now, hoping that it will evolve soon...Surprised that I havent seen a guide book for the game that shows what % pokemon evolve at. I am really loving that just having strong pokemon isnt enough in this game, some of the terrains really require a lot of thought on who to put where and when. Reminds me a bit of playing chess (which in turn reminds me of Kara chess). Oh, and I was surprised when -I- evolved, lol. Cool that the characters also change and get cooler looks as they advance.

Yeah, I decided I'd just work on my run without a camera.
For some reason, I thought I had to beat the game fast to get things post-game. So somehow I managed to conquer 14 kingdoms with a measly peasly party before finally reading up on things and clarifying that I was Doing it Wrong™.

With THAT behind me, I'm sitting back and working on leveling link% and getting new Pokémon. I made a spreadsheet of all my warlords, because I love spreadsheets a little too much.
I think Pokémon evolve when their stats reach a certain amount, and those rise when they get higher link %. So it's loosely based on that. Also, if the % caps at too low a number, you won't be able to evolve some Pokémon (on that specific warlord, anyway).

There's also strategy on who you let evolve and when; I have a guy who already has an Emboar now. His attack is great and covers a wide area, but he doesn't really move very far a turn. Also sometimes the attack will change types completely, which if you were raising a team for a specific castle, might ruin your plans. It's definitely a different evolution strategy than it usually is...
I also got that water warlord Motochika through the Wi-Fi download, and he has a potential 100% link with Dewott, but it evolved into Samurott, and now it's down to 90% potential. :<
I think that latter situation will be remedied on its own though.

It really is a complex game. for the most part on my first play through I am not worrying about min/maxing stuff. Mostly just seeing how far I can get stumbeling along. I did notice about the evolution thing...went to battle a castle, saw the perfect enemy formation for Luxio to hit them all at once, and only when I got him positioned and couldnt attack did I realise that LuxRAY didnt have that wide attack range

The range and area that a pokemon can hit is definitly something that needs watching. I've also noticed that trying to gather to many castles under my command in a short period of time is also not that wise...I've got lots of people, but very few are actually strong enough to do stuff. I find myself holding off on the next conquests to personally go in and train certain warriors up. Just trying to picture how much more complex it will be when the next castle falls to me.

Eh. After being pressured by some friends, I finally caved and bought Pokemon Conquest on Amazon. It won't get here till next week, but I keep hearing good reviews.

Okay, so I DID manage to get Pokemon Conquest a couple days ago. (Thanks Seren for the suggestion, by the way. Toys R Us did have it!)

And dang it, I love that game. It took me.. Almost ALL night to beat it, cause derp I play through games REAL fast. (And ya know? I hear a lot of people say they like to take their time playing through Pokemon games, so they can enjoy it more... But for me? I can play a game, beat it within days, and STILL enjoy it ridiculous amounts. XD)

Aaaaand yeah. By the end of it? The Pokemon I had:
Flareon (Cause GAHHH, that little Eevee was taking FOREVER to evolve into Umbreon! But I'm glad I evolved it into a Flareon. So dang useful. <3)
Glaceon (lol Take that Oichi. Have an Eeveelution instead! Granted, I had her stop using her Jigglypuff as soon as I got to the ELECTRIC type place. She had a Shinx (Well, Luxray for the most part) up until I got her an Eevee. Which I got since I was determined to have a Glaceon. Glad I did, cause during the FINAL battle? (Not gonna spoil too much..) A certain Rayquaza got ONE-SHOTTED by a crit Icy Wind courtesy of this little Glaceon. <3)
Samurott (Cause thanks to the little wi-fi thing you can download.. I got to befriend whathisface! ..With the Oshawott! I'm SO glad I kept him with me, cause URGH that Samurott came in handy. <3)
Serperior (Cause I kept both of those derps with me! Even the Snivy guy. Cause I wanted to. And ya know? Even with LEAF STORM as its move, this Serperior was BEYOND useful. Sometimes it was like the attack drop didn't even exist, he kept doing so much damage. XD)
Conkeldurr (This one was REALLY odd for me to keep, cause I usually.. Don't like this evolution line. Or at least Conkeldurr. But I kept it with me even when it fully evolved.. Cause DANG it's powerful. Was beyond useful in the final battle, no less.)
Sneasel (...Probably the least useful member of this "team". Did absolutely nothing in the final battle since it got facerolled by Infernape, but whatever. I didn't NEED it in that battle anyway.. But it was super useful up until then, so that's why I kept it with me. Probably would have been better if I had been able to evolve it before the end of the game, but oh well..)

..I adore this game. Really, I do. XD But I haven't played it since I beat the main story, since it was all like "Derp you gotta do annoying stuff now", so blah. XD

Im halfway through and none of my teams pokemon have evolved yet. So I cheated and used the code that came with the preorder that made a Gyarados appear. So now he is rocking an uber serpent instead of a Pomeranian.

When its hit points are 195. But don't rush through the game, once you beat the main story line you have to play as other warlords and loose all the pokemon you caught. I have no idea once you beat the game if you ever get to play as your own toon again

I may be semi wrong. You have to beat 33 episodes (Each last like an hour) then you start all over. Not sure if you keep the evolutions you had but I know you loose all but your realy rare items (Eveelution stones you keep) and that the wild pokemon are better

Oh..ok wow. Also turns out you can shape the warlords for the next game. So if your playing the story of one warlord and you beat it with him having say..a mewtwo , when you run into him HE HAS A MEWTWO!
