Also miss my pets doing emotes at people or NPC's Im clicked on. My Ravie was especialy fun cause he would either shreak and/or bite people, includeing party/guild members if I was clicked on them long enough....I miss his surly attitude ^.^
There ARE new emotes, but I'm not really sure what vintage Efindel used. If it was last patch released by Jorna before she quit, there won't be anything new. I don't think he got a chance to add in my new stuff. So, you might want to download the custom-emote files and extract them to your PetEmote folder if you want the newest stuff :)
ohhh :D where can I get them and how do I extract them to the file, will it be like opening a zip file? (Not really too good at these things :( but would just love to see the new ones ^.^ ) Sorry if it was posted (and it probbly was) earlier in this thread.

Yes, its exactly like opening a zip file. Extract them into your pet emote folder in your addons folder. You can find the zipped files on the first page of the thread. Its called "custom-emotes" That's the one you want. :)

Haven't updated the emotes yet, sorry. Right now, download Teigan's file. Hoping to have time to work on it this weekend, but no guarantees, thanks to car problems. I'll definitely get the new ones in before I make the new "release" version, though.

I got a dog. Well, two actually. And.....the emotes for dogs are a bit too cutesy, aren't they? Even for a mastiff, which is a realistic sort of dog. What do you guys think?

For me the dog emotes work, but I only have one on my RP huntress and her demon dog is a cutesy sort of guy.

This is why I'd love to have a mood/personality choice for pet owners. :D

That would be so immensely helpful!!!!

Basically, I'm asking, should I tone them down a bit until that (maybe) happens? What say the people? And gods help me, I think I bonded with a mastiff >.<

While the dog emotes are good, I do find them a bit too cutesy for my tastes at times. I do like that they're more personable in that regard compared to wolves, since dogs would have more of a domesticated feeling, at least when it comes to mastiffs. The demon hounds, however, feel quite off, so perhaps something more neutral to suit both models might work out for the best?

Hmm, yeah, maybe a little (though obviously, don't throw anything out entirely!), simply because the mastiffs don't go hopping around everywhere. They're more...serious....dogs.

*giggles at Veph* I like how we both came to the same conclusion for contradictory reasons!

*eyes Tantalus and sighs* Yes dear, you can continue hopping.

Haha, that's true, mastiffs don't generally give the aura of a playful energetic puppy. And demon hounds definitely can be adorable, especially with their little idle hop. Overall though they seem more suited for a bit of attitude maybe.

I don't think it would ruin my experience with Runt (my demon dog) if the emotes were made a little more somber. I could see how not everyone envisions their dog to be a happy-go-lucky sort (I have an oddball demon dog xD) and I think some more serious emotes would definitely do the family some good. :) Agreeing that neutral ones will be the way to go until we can figure out whether or not we can divide them up between demon dogs and mastiffs.

Demon dogs seem like they would, as said, be playful with an attitude. Kinda mischievous, maybe a bit devious. Mastiffs seem more serious, I agree. Dignified, protective. Not above a game of fetch, but mostly a working sort of dog. Hmmm.....yeah, gonna have to work on this. I have both now to stare at. Atesh, my red runed demon dog and Ajax, my red mastiff. They're very different dogs. Rex, I know you wanted to work on demon dogs and I would welcome any suggestions you have. You would of course get credit like everyone else does.

That would be Lucifur, I assume  So, I'll play with Ajax the mastiff and you have a talk with Lucifur and we'll see what kind of middle ground we can come to with these dogs.

Tantalus wants to worry things. :D Like bones. Leftover from dinner or fresh from his enemies? Open to interpretation.

I wrote several emotes for the demon dogs last night. But how many are needed?

"How many?" is always a good question ;) The answer is "enough for variety until I/other people run out of ideas" To show you exactly what we're all working with are working with, here are screen caps of the dog emotes laid out.

I'll post what I've created so far then see what everyone thinks and continue on from there. I've been spending time with tamed and wild demon dogs to get a great sense of their personalities over all.
