Whats your pet wish for a model that's NOT in game?

I want a black spirit beast.

Wolf, cat, raptor, hyena, I don't care--but black. The current pets are beautiful, but pastels and whites just don't go with black + sets, like black + red, black + green themes. I don't just mean gear, either; if you have a big wicked black-geared orc, like me (generally s1 set or a black+red spiked set) the spirit beasts just look... odd

If they were going to give us veractyls, I by far prefer the ones on Taris in SWTOR. They're gorgeous...and a lot of my characters would get one of those suckers as a minipet if Bioware made them available.

Blizzard has done a good job of providing a few already such as the Chimeras, Wolpertingers, Wyverns, Basilisks, etc. Still, there are a few more specimens that exhibit a lot of potential ...

1. Leviathan: a great sea monster that was said to resemble a crocodile, a whale, a serpent, and a dragon.
2. Behemoth: a non-descript creature bearing enormous size and strength. Blizzard could pretty much make this whatever it wants to. The possibilites would be endless.
3. Fenghuang: a bird of Chinese mythology that combines the physical features of a rooster, crane, peacock, swallow, parrot, pheasant, and duck. It is also sometimes referred to as the Chinese phoenix.
4. Ophiotaurus: a mythical creature that was said to be half bull and half serpent.
5. Baku: a mythical creature that was said to resemble a tapir, a bear, a tiger, an elephant, an ox, a rhinocerous, and a goat.
6. Skvader: a small woodland creature from Swedish fiction that crosses the appearances of a hare and a wood grouse.
7. Yali: a creature originating from Hindu mythology that was said to resemble a lion, an elephant, and a snake.

I would also like to suggest the introduction of falcons/kestrels, sugar gliders (although I see it best as a companion pet), and kangaroos/wallabies.

Like others have said before me:

More dinosaur models. A few are already in the game; they just need to make them tamable.

Definitely more snake/reptile models. There are tons of different snake species in the world and Blizz only has cobras in the serpent family for some reason.

More insect models (i.e. dragonflies, mantis, centipedes, millipedes, etc)

Donkey! Make it happen Blizz! If you don't think they like rofl stomping things when threatened just come visit our donkey Jack at the farm I work at.

Deer, moose, antelope, bison, etc. And please put the okapi in there!

ok, I understand finding those animals cool or cute. there are some I really like too.

but I don't see them as hunter pets at all. I don't see any animal that is normally a grazing herbivore being used as a hunting partner. it just doesn't make sense to me.

maybe if someone explained their point of view to me? I'm open. I'm just saying it doesn't click for me.

Also, many farm people keep animals such as geese and llama's as guard animals because they ARE very protective and can be quite vicious.

Maybe it's the way I tend to play my hunter. I try to avoid unnecessary fights, so appreciate pets with a non-aggressive attitude. Plus, my main is mostly vegetarian, so I can eat out of the same feed bag as my herbivorous pets

Not to derail this topic much more, but I think I can see where Sukurachi is coming from. The majority of hunter pets are beasts (whether natural or fantasy) that are predatory in nature. Their wild nature is to "hunt", thus fitting the hunter theme. Goats and stags and the like may be highly aggressive, but they aren't generally thought of as natural hunters.

On the other hand, it could be argued that if a formidable, but non-predatory beast can be trained to take down a hunter's foe, there's no reason it couldn't be used. In fact I believe it's been that way from the start... with boars And certainly continued with creatures like moths.
