Mac users....

Unread post by Slickrock »

if you have been playing Beta, and if you are now encountering problems with macros and addons (which you likely are), it's time to make some respectful helpful NOISE in the beta forums about getting macros and addons fixed for the mac.

Otherwise, we may be sitting on the sidelines in October when Panda launches. With the 5.0.1 PTR coming out, I'm getting less hopeful that this will be fixed before launch.

Two updates for Mac users...

1) If you get the "Unable to verify version" message when attempting to login, go back to the launcher and switch to the 64-bit version, that fixed it for me.

2) It appears that macros are working at some level. I haven't done detailed tests yet, but at least they weren't locking on combat.

I get disconnected when I attempt to battle a wild pet on the Beta, on a mac. I right-click on the green paw, then the camera seems to start adjusting to the pet battle layout an I disconnect. I read on mmochampion forum, that someone else on a mac has the same problem.

pet battle crashing is a mac-only issue apparently.

I can't even get the game to launch; there's several threads on the forum from other mac users getting a thread exception of one sort or another; apparently it has something to do with the vertex shader (aah, echoes of BC) but so far, no one's found a solution for it.

someday I'll find someplace to host a sig that isn't stupid money-grubbing photobucket
