We already have the two rare world bosses, Sha of Anger and Galeon. And there is also Alani.

I found Sahn Tidehunter in Vale of Blossoms. Humanoid.

The Aqua Jewel is on use and increasing swim speed by 50% and gives Underwater breathing. The cloak was a Str/hit/parry, and the bag wont open. All BoP.

Found Moldo One-Eye in Vale of Eternal Blossoms. Screenshots soon. Another "champion" I presume.

The flute causes nearby critters to follow you for 15 minutes. The cloak was a healer cloak, ilvl 440. Cannot open the bag.

Found Nasra Spothide in eastern Valley of the Four Winds, right before the bridge to Jade Forest. I didn't even think to take a screenie. :(

Golden Fleece causes extra gold to drop off honorable/experience kills. The chest is 440 mail agi chest. All BoP all the time >:|

Found Blackhoof in Valley. SS inc.

I got me a hunch that only rare champions of the races are in.......... all I have seen are humanoids of various races.

Battle Horn is an AoE taunt. Hands is 410 tank plate.

This is Jonn-Dar, who spawned near Nesingwary's Camp in the SW corner of Valley of the Four Winds. I didn't screenshot his loot or anything, but the trinket he dropped summons a pretty buff tanking mob. He taunts! And his level seemed to match mine, which was nice. The mob summons stone quilen while you're fighting him, but they can't be tamed.

I found Nalash Verdantis on a rock in the middle of the Lake of Stars in Dread Wastes:



And Yul Wildpaw out in front of that little cave of Sha beneath Niuzao Temple:



I didn't really have a chance to fight Nalash, as these were both found about ten minutes before a server reset, but I poked at Yul a bit and he heals himself and does at least one easily avoidable AoE. No serious damage.

In Townlong in Fire Camp Osul my boyfriend found a tauren model aggressive rare mob called....Lon the Bull, he thinks? He didn't know what he was looking at at first because he's so used to a popup when he mouses over a rare haha, and it didn't have rare in it's tooltip (just the silver dragon) so he had killed it before realizing. It dropped the two bags and an ilvl 440 blue neck called Yoke of Niuzao that has str/parry/mastery. He got the achieve for killing it as well. Sorry no ss!

OMG just read through all the other posts in this topic and realized that my boyfriend got gypped pretty hardcore. No vanity item, just two bags that won't open. (Small Bag of Goods and Big Bag of Herbs)

This is Vetiver's boyfriend. Sorry for the lack of SSes, but I made up for it this time! A mantid champion, Lith'ik the Stalker, in southwest Townlong.

Again, I don't get a fun vanity item. He dropped the same Yoke of Niuzao tank neck, a Small Bag of Goods, and a Big Bag of Jewels (wouldn't open).

He was really rough, at least as an 89. I couldn't solo him without a little help. He does a Blade Flurry right in front of him (just sidestep, ticks for 100k), casts Tornadoes that stay up until he dies and also tick for 100k, and buffs himself with Windsong, a supercharged Hand of Freedom.

This is my favorite rare so far... His name is Yorik Sharpeye. He's a tauren.
When you enter combat with him he says "You! What are you doing here?"
He's found in Vale of Eternal Blossoms, sitting next to a treasure chest and a small little toy boat at this location:


This is the item he drops:


It turns you into Mr. Smite for 10 minutes!
When you use it, yell "You there, check out that noise!" in Mr. Smite's voice!


So... it seems that we never killed Mr. Smite... he somehow made his way, undercover, into Vale.
I just... thank you Blizzard. You heard our calls of "We miss Mr. Smite!" and delivered. <3

Yup and it's good to mix things up I think when it comes to rares. So I am not complaining I think these guys all look cool. Can't wait to hunt down the mini pet dropping one the new jadefang it seems

This fine lady, Ahone the Wanderer, spawns near the Mogu'shan Monastery. She hurts. And heals. But I did solo her!

She drops a non-combat doohickey that launches rockets. Very pretty!
