Netherwing drake wings

So, I've been playing WoW on my husband's new PC recently. It's brand new, and I can have the graphic settings all on the highest possible, it's awesome. That being said, I had the shadow settings all the way up.

Anyway, I decided to fly around on my Netherwing drake with a friend the other day, and I noticed something strange about the shadow... the wings look completely different! Weird, right? I wonder if that's how the wings were originally intended to look, but they scrapped the idea, leaving the shadow behind as a 'what might have been'? I'm curious if I can find any others...

I have always noticed this, I hope they make a dragon/drake with those types of wings.
They look really neat imo and I would get one! *Imagines crimson and black netherwing drake with flaming wing tips and glowing eyes* /drool

Wow, that's a neat discovery! They almost look reminiscent of windrider wings from that shadow.

Thats gorgeous they look almost like spikey butterfly wings..wow

I notice that occasionally with Azrenarku (My azure netherdrake on Azu.) What I like about the wings is if you zoom in you see little lightning bolts coming off of them.
