Can you think of any that are missing?
I listed a few alchemy, enchanting, etc. recipes that were removed, but obviously armour and weapon ones are more important, as many are probably useful for (and possibly the only sources for) transmog.
I left out a few things that obviously have zero point in the game now, like the alchemy recipe in the old ZG that had the sole purpose of summoning the extra boss.
I'm not sure if there were other quiver recipes removed that had different appearances to the single one I listed here. Or if they'll have any point in MoP once bows appear on our backs.
Blacksmithing
- Pattern: Golden Scale Gauntlets - used to be BS quest reward, removed in Cata. Only missing piece of set
- Plans: Demon Forged Breastplate - quest giver removed in Cata
- Plans: Fiery Plate Gauntlets - quest chain removed in Cata
- Plans: Runic Breastplate - may still drop from one mob but not sure, but appears to have become ultra rare at tkeh very least. The other Runic Plate recipes were moved to a vendor (Dramm Riverhorn), so maybe this one was forgotten
- Plans: Stronghold Gauntlets - not sure if still exists
- Orcish War Leggings - BS quest removed: "The Old Ways"
All six Ornate Mithril recipes, which used to be awarded by a BS quest giver, Trent Lighthammer, in Gadgetzan:

These three were removed in Wrath, not Cata, but I have to list them: the Icebane recipes that were taught in the old Naxx 60. While there are level 80 versions of 3 pieces, the gauntlets and bracers are not part of them (nor the shoulders and boots, which were drops not recipes and no level 80 versions were made). The Naxx frost resistance sets were some of the most beautiful from vanilla and most of the pieces are no longer craftable. The mats would have to be updated to remove the Frozen Rune requirements though:

- Restorative Potion - gone since Uldaman/Badlands Reagent Run quests removed with Badlands revamp
- Recipe: Discolored Healing Potion - quest was removed
- Recipe: Lesser Stoneshield Potion
- Recipe: Elixir of Greater Firepower - used to be dropped by Dark Iron Slavers, Taskmasters and Watchmen in Searing Gorge, but seems to have been removed from their loot
- Recipe: Gift of Arthas - dropped mainly from Slavering Ghouls (removed), may still drop from Skeletal Flayers (WPL) but not sure. If so, drop rate is very low
- Recipe: Elixir of the Mongoose - used to drop from Satyrs in Azshara and Felwood, but may be gone now
- Recipe: Greater Shadow Protection Potion - used to drop in EPL
- Recipe: Greater Arcane Protection Potion - used to drop from Cobalt Mageweavers in Winterspring
- Recipe: Greater Frost Protection Potion - believed to be removed. Used to drop from Frostmaul Giants in Winterspring
Three recipes lost with the Zandalar Tribe (a fourth is now sold by Evie Whirlbrew, so maybe these could be too?):
- Recipe: Mighty Troll's Blood Elixir
- Recipe: Greater Dreamless Sleep Potion
- Recipe: Mageblood Elixir
(only other one I can see was Gurubashi Mojo Madness, but that's pointless now)
Enchanting
- Formula: Enchant Gloves - Mining - various Dark Iron dwarves that dropped this removed in Cata
- Formula: Enchant Gloves - Advanced Herbalism - may not be entirely gone, as one rare (Molt Thorn) may still drop it with a 0.1% chance, but it's effectively gone if that's the case.. The other mobs were removed with Cata
Two recipes lost with the Zandalar Tribe:
- Formula: Brilliant Mana Oil
- Formula: Brilliant Wizard Oil
Jewelcrafting
- nothing useful that was removed, afaik, but did they forget to add Design: Rhinestone Sunglasses or is it just extremely rare???
Cooking
Finally, two cooking recipes, but these are a bit different:
- the original version of Recipe: Thistle Tea. It was replaced with a new one so only rogues can buy it. I guess because the resulting tea is rogue-only so it kinda made sense. But now recipe collectors forever see this one as their only missing recipe.
- Recipe: Dirge's Kickin' Chimaerok Chops recipe was also lost when the sceptre quest chain was removed in Cata. It's mostly a useless recipe now, but the mats do drop from that rare chimaerok that was added to Feralas. Maybe the recipe could drop from another rare... a member of the Nesingwary team hunting for the chimaerok
That design is only recorded in a few anecdotes, unfortunately, so I'm not sure if it's true.
