Because they are the center of a lot of randomness a lot.

Maybe you could set yourself to "at war with Lonesome George" to tame him??TheDoomcookie wrote:Well, he is a beast, in that you can find him with track beast. But yeah. Friendly, and I personally hope he stays that way. <3
Kind of like how Olm the Wise used to be.
Re: Lonesome George: The Long-Awaited Tribute
Hehe. Well Olm was a member of a proper faction at the time (Cenarion I think?). That's the only reason you could. But I suspect you already knew that and were just making a jokeRoyi wrote:Maybe you could set yourself to "at war with Lonesome George" to tame him??TheDoomcookie wrote:Well, he is a beast, in that you can find him with track beast. As for the post about the croc that died, it wasn't entirely irrelevant. We have worse on a regular basis, and the occasional diversion is fine as long as it doesn't swamp the thread or make the thread take a negative turn. And it probably would have remained as just one post in an entire thread if it hadn't become a point of negative discussion. Remember that just because something unintentionally annoys you doesn't mean you deserve for it to go away. If I did that then every post with "lol" in it would be gone and then we'd have almost nothing left
I'm assuming by the fact that Doomcookie got confirmation so quickly, that it was Noah who created him?

I didn't ask if he actually created him, just if this really was Lonesome George, but I assume he did.

Yeah he was under Cenarion Circle. And yes my jokes need further explanation oftenWain wrote:Hehe. Well Olm was a member of a proper faction at the time (Cenarion I think?). Just stopped by to see George today. Thank you Blizzard for putting him in! Brought tears to my eyes <3
Re: Lonesome George: The Long-Awaited Tribute
its awesome they put a tribute in :3
would have been nice if it was the speedy/turtle mount model since that one reminds me of George a lot especially when they stick out the necks in idle mode

Re: Lonesome George: The Long-Awaited Tribute
I think the Gamarooa (spellcheck) model would have been more fitting

For age, definitely. I suspect white was chosen to make him more ghostly thoughRoyi wrote:I think the Gamarooa (spellcheck) model would have been more fitting

It's cool, but I am disappointed there was never a spirit Thylacine named Benjamin (Last know Tasmanian tiger alive). Then again I guess Blizzard will stick with current things rather than something that went extinct in the 1930s...

Re: Lonesome George: The Long-Awaited Tribute
Blizzard sticks with things that are meme-tastic. Benjamin didn't really have an explosion of love attached to him (especially not on here), but George did. Not to mention the fact that there aren't any thylacines in the game.Whoisthat wrote:It's cool, but I am disappointed there was never a spirit Thylacine named Benjamin (Last know Tasmanian tiger alive). Our Noah echoes the love of his little corner of the community. So that's why.

Re: Lonesome George: The Long-Awaited Tribute
I think there should be some sort of Hunter trainer thats both Horde and Alliance friendly in Panda. Perhaps name him Noha or Haon (like blizz always does). Give him a little hut, a bunch of friendly animal NPC's in the front yard, and show some sort of 'computer' on in his house.Kurasu wrote:Blizzard sticks with things that are meme-tastic. Re: Lonesome George: The Long-Awaited Tribute
Makes sense, I just think Pandaria would be the best time to implement a Thylacine. You know, "ANCIENT" land hidden. I am also starting to fear there will be no spirit beasts this Expansion.Kurasu wrote:Blizzard sticks with things that are meme-tastic.
