Ugh! I just noticed that Sept. 25th is right smack in the middle of the in-game Brewfest holiday. I wonder how the release will impact trying to do Coren Direbrew and if they plan to bump him to level 90 mid-holiday season. It's going to suck if he's bumped up to 90 and no one can kill him for 2 or 3 days after MoP releases (or a full week for those of us that aren't super hardcore enough to game for 40+ hours straight to get to 90 right away).

They'll prolly keep the event at lvl 85 cause too few people will be 90 (if even the hard core players can make 90 before the end of the event that is) to take part in a lvl 90 dungeon. Pilgrims Bounty, if that at all requires specific lvl requirement for anything thats tied to its acheivment (ive never partaken in the event myself), its also doubtful they'll bump that to 90, they'll hopefully give people who dont have the time to lvl that quickly a chance at the event. Unfortunately i can most certainly guess that Hallows End will be lvl 90 ._.

I don't know what they'll do, but I hope there will be a blue post about it soon as I'm sure it's on other people's mind. I wouldn't mind if they bumped it up so it ended before release, or they delayed it until a week after release, even if it would overlap a couple days with Hallow's end. The loot aspect doesn't bother me so much (though two level 90 tankards o terror would be nice), it's the chances at mounts that concern me most. Just not sure how "easy" it'll be to get a queue if everyone is focused on leveling.

With BoA mounts, its already gonna be difficult getting said mounts cause no ones on alts trying to get them, since their mains had them and then after release, all their alts now have them in their spellbook. It'll now be people who are trying for achievments, those who dont have the mounts, and those running others (friends/guildies) for the mounts

I'll still be running it, because I've never gotten Direbrew's Remote on my main.

Hmm, what happens if you're sitting at 4000 Valor and 4000 Justice before a Expac? Don't they just convert it all to gold at the start of a new expansion??

They wouldn't bother bumping him to 90 just for that reason that you mentioned. Next year he'd be there and probably drop 90 lower ilvl epic trinkets like always. I would guess the first holiday boss that'll drop lvl 90 gear would be the Chemical Brothers in Feb (unless they add a new one in the Xmas or Lunar holidays).

It would be neat if they would switch it up a bit and not just have yet ANOTHER version of Coren's Coaster trinket. (lvl 70, lvl 80, lvl 85 so far)

I'm glad to finally have a release date but I'm really irritated it's exactly a day after I start university. :/ Means I'll likely have no money because I'll have just paid for my first rent, I'll still be settling in and trying to organise myself and my money, and it'll be freshers week that week, meaning I'll be trying very hard to make friends with loads of people I've never met before. I know I shouldn't be annoyed at this because it's only a video game but... I like playing the expansions as soon as they come out! I feel like I'm going to be behind everyone else and everyone will get to experience everything before me... >: Well, the least I can do is hope my course isn't too pressuring to begin with and that I get some birthday money next month that I can save for the Collector's Edition!

I wouldn't be surprised if the Greench dropped level 90 gear this year. That will be about three months after launch, and we'll probably be able to get the daily at 85. (Just like last year we could get the daily at 80.)

Edit: Of course the only gear is the rare dagger, still wouldn't be surprised if it was a level 90 fight.

We can always hope for a flying reindeer mount, based on the new druid travel form :) Give it a red nose, and hang some decorations from its antlers :)

That's the idea, I would imagine. :)

Wain you just gave me some new ideas about holiday mounts by mentioning that. I posted a thread here:

If they stick to what they did when Cata launched, Valor will be converted to Justice and Conquest will be converted to Honor, with anything over the 4k cap being converted to gold. But, if they do what they did when they launched Dragon Soul, the Valor and Conquest conversions will be the same as above, but anything over 4k won't be converted to gold. Instead, the excess will just continue to be converted to JP or Honor (as appropriate), and you'll be over the 4k caps and you won't be able to get more JP or Honor until you're below the 4k cap again. That happened to some of my characters when DS went live. Personally, I think the first possibility will happen, so I'll be happy to reach a combination of 4k in JP/VP and Conquest/Honor. I hate PVPing, but 3750 Honor can be converted to 2500 Justice later (giving me 6500 to work with when I hit 90).

I wouldn't rule out the Headless Horseman being bumped up to 90 for Hallow's End. MoP will be out 3+ weeks by then, and I remember seeing Wowhead having level 90 versions of his loot (and Coren's for that matter). Just depends on if they plan to implement it or not. Speaking of the Greench, I'm hoping they put him in the dungeon finder.

We use the dungeon finder so much, it's nice to have a holiday boss that's just out in the world. Also, it's a good opportunity to work on Let It Snow :)

They finally answered the Brewfest question. All I can say is congrats to the hard cores. At least it's level 89 and not 90: http://blue.mmo-champion.com/topic/230826-brewfest/

Wow, erm, thanks Blizz. Guess that's another world event I'll have to skip this year just because I don't feel the need to rush my way to level 90. :/
