Hello all .... (NEW Comer to Petopia Forum ((or any forumlol))so play nice ty)


Iam interested to kno the best way to research what pets will be extinct , i dont tend to care for the new families and skins , I want to kno what pet families will be exticnt and what pet skins will change :S

any one got any info , I been rerading sum of your responses !!:D sum of you guys seem pro's! Very Talented players but then sum of you seem like its gone too your head a bit :S you kno .... You go down to the shops for sum Milk and bread , next thing ' You get a Flash Back of wow , and Your trying to tame a stray cat or dog , so you can go Hunting down anything tht looks like a Horde :DD <--------I was not Arrested for this c|;o)

I don't believe there are any models going extinct. In general there isn't much of a trend for retired pet appearances any longer, most skins are being implemented as tameable creatures in order to broaden the variety and make sure the majority of looks are available to players.

The only ones that could be mentioned are appearance buff tames, but those were long ago hotfixed, so if you don't have them now you won't get them. (these include beasts like the oil stained wolf, etc)

EDIT: Oh, colour-changing pets are one I just remembered. It seems that in MoP Blizzard is removing the ability for these types of pets to randomly change colour each time they are summoned. Currently in beta if you already have one tamed it will keep this behaviour, such as the colour changing raptors from the Goblin starting area. They could very well fix them though, but if you want to be safe I'd say tame a colour-changer now if you'd like a chance for it to keep that trait.

TY vm for the info , I will tame a changle pet I have the croc on another hunter, but was trying to get tht goblin raptor for a while ..only find out i coulndt tame it :S

Yea unfortunately you need to begin a goblin from lvl 1 and remain in the particular zone that they spawn in (killing mobs rather then quests if your coming up to the point where it phases them out) till you ding lvl 10 and then go train the tame beast spell so you can nab one before they go poof forever. Since goblins literally blow the island up the raptors are in, its why no one else can go there (well, that and being in the middle of the ocean, too far from land xD).

As Veph had said, the exploit pets (the fancy buffs like oil-stained wolf or hidden buffs like the bears in zul'drak with glowing paws) cant be acquired anymore... tho in another thread (cant remember title), someone said angered arakkoa protectors still can be but i dont know myself if its true. Since its still early in the beta, the skins that were removed from beta (such as blue goat skin, Mania calls it grey skin) will still make an appearance im sure (they better! I want blue goat ;_;), its just a matter of time ^_^.

If you are a color-change pet fan, def, as Veph said, be on the safe side juuuuuuust incase if you really want to keep a color-change pet, to go tame the ones you really like, they may or may not get to remain as they were pre-expac.

Thanks! Lucky was definitely quite the character, best 'tame' i ever made hehe. I miss him a lot. But i have a new cat who i feel Lucky is guiding cause she really does have so many traits he used to have.

thats the url to the main page there, you can browse through the pet families and color changing pets will be listed in their own section within their family. My personal color change favorites are the crocolisks from Zul'Gurub who swap between green with blue fins and grey with yellow fins, the color changing raptor from the goblin start zone, the northrend worg (sentry worg from icecrown) that uses all 4 of the northrend saber model, and the savage worg (northrend version as well) from utguard keep that swaps from black and brown

No, you can luckily get them after the isles are all on fire. There's a little ledge with the color changing ones still on there. I finished the zone and didn't leave, so I swam and ran my little goblin legs back to where they were.
