I found the death of Seymour in Futurama considerably more touching.

I've never seen that episode, but I just read about it. Just READING it made me all teary-eyed. That's so sad!!! Poor Seymour. He waited all those years for a master that never came home. *sobs*

not the best quality video here, but at least it includes Fry's last words before the final scene, which puts it into context.

for any French speaking people, that is probably THE saddest song ever written.

it's from the Michel Legrand musical film "Les Parapluies de Cherbourg".

just hearing the first notes of the song is enough to bring tears to the eyes.
using it in the context of this Futurama episode was.. pure torture. It was perfect.
