General Apology
Saturo you said that i said gnomes were ugly as well as dwarves and i meant to say that they can be somewhat annoying not ugly and i again do not wish for this to imply to a specific group of people in rl or for it to be taken as an insult to every gnome on the forum and in wow but i simply wish to say that is kind of the way it can be sometimes, soemtimes the horde races can behave in a similar manner.
~i wish to resolve any issues anyone may have had or still have with me and if anyone wants to discuss with me about the subject then please give me a pm or respond to this thread~

It's okay.
After all, it's impossible to hate gnomes. We're too cute. And I misread the gnome-part. I read "annoying" as "ugly". My bad.
I also exist on DeviantArt.

Dwarf's aren't fat. That stoutness they have? It's not fat, it's muscle. Men have a beer gut tho but then again Dorf's are heavy drinkers, more so than any race. They can knock back a pint of ale faster than you could sneeze.
But fem dwarf's aren't fat. And tbh I'm glad you apologized cause after reading that post it offended me too :/ mostly if you would say something like that about just a game, of pixels, so fiercely and heatedly.
Anyways I just advise you before you go off spouting out worse than a volcano, just learn the difference between fat and well, something with muscles, because dorf women are built like how my mama was before she had me/got sick. Doctors THOUGHT she was over wieght when it was ALL MUSCLE.

I don't think you understand why the words stung so much. Rhyela's comment hints at it, but it wasn't said explicitly, so I wanted to spell it out. Some create the ugliest characters they can think of, to play the "monster" type... some create the cutest, sweetest thing. Some like characters that, to them, look realistic. I'm not talking realistic in terms of skin tone or heck, horns and tusks... but in so far as the body type doesn't look like something only 2% of the world's female population can achieve. (Caveat here: not everyone that plays blood elves does so for the cutesy reason, not everyone plays nelves because they like the boob bounce... while my point is valid for many women, I think, I want to make it clear that I'm drawing on my own perceptions!)
Orcs, dwarves, and tauren ladies are, in my opinion, beautiful because they've got curves and body mass. I made my dwarf priest because in her, I see something that is close to my perception of my own body - I'm not particularly tall, I'm relatively large mainly because of my hips and breasts, and I've got a waist that accentuates that. When you start dissing the body image of the dwarf, there's no way I can't feel the sting personally. You've never met me, yet your words completely dismissed me as a person because I have... curves? Body fat?
Considering how so very many women struggle with the media-imposed body ideals that are not realistically attainable without physically endangering oneself, your words were not simply harsh, they were dangerous. Like I said, I'm glad you apologised.

Oh Demonicow, no. No no no. I did forgive you and then you do this? I'm sorry, I really am, but you just made me retract my forgiveness. Shudder? Really? Body fat (pixelated at that!!) disgusts you so much that you shudder over it???? I'm in disbelief. And incredibly sad.Demonicow wrote:well i agree with you to a certain degree but having been forced to endure the naked female dwarves during the noblegarden season*Shudders* i can say that some of it is muscle but i dont think its all muscle...

If that is the context I should read his comment in, then I would like to hear that from himself.Mania wrote:Now, Sarayana -- I think you should give Demonicow the benefit of a doubt here. The shuddering isn't necessarily related to pixelated body fat. Goodness knows I tend to shudder when I see naked gnomes ... I can't help but imagine them in Kama Sutra poses.
I'll stop posting about this now, since I'm probably making matters worse.

Re: General Apology
Also note, while trying to apologize about something, do NOT inadverdantly be insulting again. You said you were wrong, and then tried to justify why you didn't think you were. Don't do that. Swallow your pride, apologize, and let it go.

Re: General Apology
However, at least you admitted you were wrong. But then...you just had to keep talking! "Open mouth, insert foot."
Kid, listen to the other men who are telling you to stop while you are ahead. This is a valuable survival skill. I showed my husband what you wrote. He said "Well, that's good he apologized" So, I showed him your next post. He just shook his head. Said "He needs to learn to stop while he's ahead."
Apologizing is a good start. Working on your view of women, cause most women don't look like bloodelves, nightelves and humans, would come next. I'm guessing you are pretty dang young and inexperienced. You'll learn, if your girlfriend doesn't kill you first.
