Farewell, stat sticks.
Re: Farewell, stat sticks.
I'll miss Kiril, not so much for its appareance, but for periodically ending up even larger than Blackhorn. I'm sure the other ranged people in my raid group will be happier, though about not having their view blocked by a giant bull.
Re: Farewell, stat sticks.
I've been looking forward to ranged weapons being displayed on our characters since forever, so I'm not regretting this change much.
On the other hand, I have had bonded with some of the melee weapons I've picked up over the last few years. The already-mentioned Legacy axe is one I used for a long time, and I also liked the sword in the picture below. The one-hand axes you could pick up in ICC that stashed on your back were also cool, although I never got a complete set. (I always passed to rogues and melee shamans when they'd drop.)

Re: Farewell, stat sticks.
I am personally glad to be rid of my stat stick. No more druids getting mad at me for rolling on their polearms! Best of all, melee will never have a reason to roll on our bows ever again! Also I'm very excited to show off my firearm collection. I have over 40 ranged weapons in my bank, all for transmog.

Re: Farewell, stat sticks.
No goodbyes for me, just a see you a little less often - I don't plan on getting rid of any of my melee weapons and I plan on continuing to collect more in the future, just so I can wear them about town every opportunity I get. I feel a little like the curator of the museum of "it's a hunter weapon" or something, so I have to keep the tradition alive
Re: Farewell, stat sticks.
I liked the look of many of my hunters' polearms, but overall I am very happy to see them go. They looked absolutely ridiculous on my worgen while using running wild, and I have no doubt that my undead will look better without it as well!

Bahahahaha! <3 I love it!
Somehow, I find the concept of a green nether ray playing fetch far more compelling than the demon dogs.
*casts a sidelong glance at Castor* I might be biased.

Good bye big ugly green glowing blobs over my shoulder that ruined all my screenhots and messed up so many carefully planned transmog outfits. Don't let the door hit ya in the @$$ on the way out! But thanks for the 600g I got to vendor you all!

Re: Farewell, stat sticks.
my vote is good riddance... especially when you wind up with a staff instead of a polearm.
I already vendored all my stat sticks, except for the one from BT. I'll hang onto that one, just in case.
Stat sticks were never the same once they got rid of DW axes that would sit on your back.
