Having to Manually Cast Pet Spells?

I started using my rhino again,but I notice he won't do his supermoves like the knockback unless I push it. I can't keep it selected like growl or the other moves. Is this just mine being bugged or is it normal now? I don't like it lol

Far as I know, since Cata you've always had to manually press rhino's knockback. Same with Chimaera frost breath and worm burrow.

That sounds about right actually. I can't speak with absolute certainty on the rhino as I haven't had one tamed for a very long time, but most other special pet abilities have to be cast manually, as mentioned.

From what I remember when doing the Pet Challenges for rhinos and playing around with them on my own, the knockback was cast manually.

Yep it's one of the abilities you have to cast manually.
