Damn some really nice person gave me a pair of each of the new doni wolves because they were quitting and saw a post that I mentioned my gold goes twords donis since I can't donate.

That's $16 worth of critters. o: Happies! I'm pretty pumped because I thought these were super pretty.

Anyone here participate and want to go into a breeding partnership if we have proper genders? IE you breed one then I breed one and we keep trading off the wyrms.

Thought I'd try this because I got into Dragon Cave. I'm.. not really sure though. I wasn't a fan of the donation only pets (I tend to dislike that sort of thing anywhere), and I figured with the hatcheries it'd be a lot like Dragon Cave... but two of the hatchery places are forums where you post, one isn't working, one requires another sign up/login(ugh, I avoid these like the plague. I already have enough accounts all over)... so I'm only able to actively use one. I'm not sure if I'm going to like it as much as Dragon Cave and I don't know if my poor eggy I grabbed will live at this rate. I'll still try it out, but my first impression isn't the best.

Yeeeey welcome to MS!

I'll help you out a bit with a little run through of the creature basics ^^

-Eggs and hatchlings grow up through clicks, no time limit is present. You can have infinite amounts of hatchlings, and up to 4 live eggs*. Frozen eggs are unlimited.

-You cannot release an egg taken from the Stream until 6 hours pass.

-You can find eggs in the Stream, Shops, Quests (will explain), Society Shops (will explain), Koi Pond (will explain), and through gifting events (Magistream's yearly anni and Christmas).

-Holiday events where limited time creatures are released are generally New Years, Valentines Day, April 1st (iffy tho since its not a real holiday), Easter, Magistream Anniversary, Halloween, Thanksgiving (US), and Christmas. I definitely suggest you do all event related games to ensure you recieve creatures**.

-Donation pets keep the site alive. It pays the artists, pays the company who allows the site to be live, and removes the spam of ad's you see in bar's around Dragon Cave and other sites. You can always purchase Donation pets for gold off other players who decide to use their own money to buy the creatures from the Shops. 50k (50,000g) per shard is the norm for people to sell these pets for. Retired Donation creatures have very different pricing due to being retired however***.

-To hatch your eggs and raise your hatchlings (if you wish to raise them) you post in the assigned click threads located in the Reindeer Games board (i suggest asking around to see how one acquires snap links for your browser to avoid having to click everyones eggs one at a time. The purpose of those threads is that you click their eggs, and they click yours in return). You may also use http://mshatchery.comlu.com/add.php and http://www.pethatchery.co.uk/ms_addhatchery.php which does not require logging in to add your codes into for hatching/raising to adult. You can remove the codes at any time if you dont want them growing to adults.

-People will stalk peoples Keep's and click their eggs and hatchlings. Unless you put unfrozen hatchlings into a trade**** or a hidden tab (costs 75k at Remy's Inn to be able to freely hide tabs), most likley they will eventually grow to adulthood.

-You can name a creature for free once. After that it will cost 2k per renaming. However some pets like Giftborn (GB, Donation pets, special event pets (varies), will have a rename price range of 10k-100k.

*If you have 4 eggs and you want donation pets, you have 2 extra slots for donation pets -only-. You can ONLY have 4 eggs at a single time though past that allowance. If you hatch your non-doni eggs and have say, for example, 2 koi eggs and 2 donation eggs, you cannot acquire any eggs that are not more donation pets. The extra 2 slots go poof completely unless your going to purchase more doni's from the shop.

**Some magistream events host games. These games are tied to the creatures in some way. They may either reward you with a creature (Giftborn) or will allow you to keep more of the released creature (one event was a snowball fight. Everyone started with 10 balls. If you did not participate -enough- (theres a minimum required) then you lost those balls and thus just lost 10 snow dragon creatures), or like the halloween event, will allow you to raise your creatures faster. I would always try to play the game as much as possible just to ensure you do recieve a reward for playing. To keep the games fun, we never know where the event creature will come from if no one has already spotted it.

Bred creatures will have lower value, and it will decrease for every generation. Hybrids are the exception but only the bare lowest generation possible is worth the most. Some creatures will have higher pricing due to special value in MS's history, age, when they were released, and popularity. Certain creatures have limited breedings. These drastically change the price depending on how many breedings they still have left (Coal Wyrms, Tinsel Wyrms, 2010 Arkai, and both Penguin species have limited breedings. These can be found, if they can still breed, on their creature pages).

****When you set a trade up for someone, you put the creatures in and if you wish, you can write a note too. You press 'save changes' to confirm these creatures/gold are going to be traded, and type your password in and confirm. Then the other person will do the same thing and confirm their side. You will then confirm the trade as a whole if everything looks as it should. To store creatures in a trade you find someone who's willing to be a trade buddy and you begin a trade but you -do NOT- type your password in. Just add the creatures and save. Your just storing them, your not trading ;3.

Ok, on to Quests and Society Shops.

Quests are found in the World which you get to using the link in the banner 'World'. The wiki i prefer for quests is here: http://magistream.wikispaces.com/Quests. Society Shops are places where you do a questline to join a society and you get special creatures available to that shop only. You cannot be in more then one society at a time. To leave, you must do the Face Changer quest which costs 100k per use. Then you may begin the questline with the society you want to be with. Society Quest information is also located on the page i linked, since entry and taking leave of your chosen societies are quest-related. It also shows what creatures and 'allies' (allies cannot be traded and are once-only) you can acquire from these quests.

I can help you with acquiring the creatures needed for the quests. A biiig no-no that people haaaaaaaate is when you use lineaged creatures since the quests removes all eggs and hatchlings involved from the site. It leaves a permanent mark on the family page. So, always make sure if it has a name, that its not a lineage name before you freeze a creature, sell it, breed it, or release it. Rules to a creatures lineages are made by the creator and can be found on the family page (via link in the creatures profile).

For Koi Pond.. you can find that on the map in World. You throw gold in, and you either get a fish, or you dont. The fish you get are random but theres a specific list of fish that appear in the koi pond only. Because its a gold sink, none of the fish from there can breed except Red Koi. Those are needed to make Ruby Capicorns.

Yea ._. lots n lots of stuff but i essentially just told you everything except how the forum part of MS works XD Again, just PM me if anything needs clearing up, or if you have any questions that need answering! I'll also do my best to help price creatures, and help you set up selling/buying threads (theres also a rule thread in every part of the forum so you know what is required of your opening post when you make a thread in that particular board).

I'm liking it a bit more now once I've got the idea of things and how it works. Although the stream is very limited. Some pros and cons between it and DC, but I'll definitely stick with it for now. Thank you for all the information.

I don't like the idea of spamming threads on a forum to try and get clicks, as the hatcheries seem to be very slow to get clicks. People just seem to spam post their stuff every minute and mine gets lost within seconds of posting because I refuse to spam like that. x.x

I downloaded the FireFox multi-click add-on which is turning out to be very helpful for Magistream, heh. Shift+Rick Click and drag over all the images, pops up a new window with all of them in one go. Clicks for everyone!

I really like the detail of the sprites and some of the adults actually have full size images on their pages.

Hope it's not an issue but here are a few more I grabbed after the first four I posted. Happy that I got one of the black skull faced foxes that I can't remember the name of yet. I had seen two pop up when I first signed up but didn't know what they were and I was looking for specific ones (the two winged cats, the panthers, gryphon, and manticore).

No one except Tristan and Damian will know 100% since they own the site (even tho Morgaln is an admin he's prolly in the dark when it comes to deciding whether to make something breedable or not unless they discuss it as a group XD). Im kind of on the wall with them. But being stream creatures, and being living breathing creatures unlike the chocolate salamanders and bee's from last year's halloween, im sure they will probably get a breed option in a few weeks.

The christmas bugs on the other hand, i can definitely say with confidence they will not breed. They're like the 'little something special' that you can only have so much of before they're all gone. Something to remember that year's holiday by. Plus, with all those colors, im sure Tristan would rather leave the breed option off rather then decide if he should let them breed with other colors or code it so they can only breed within their own particular color.

Would be a pretty lineage tho if they could breed with other colors ^^

Okay, I traded my one red off for a female anyways, just in case they do become breedables

Im glad I came back to magistream when I could! Although I don't like the bugs very much I think im gonna keep one of each colour and any separate ones im going to sell in the future if they become valuable
Theres also a lot of neat creatures I missed, ah well, at least I have enough money to buy one of then northern light foxes later on

There is a thread on the forums where they're giving out their bred Peppermint Wyrms. You can request a gender too, I believe; or were you wanting another GB?

I have someone who said they would breed me one of their Wyrms once they get it from that thread. Not sure if they will remember, but I'm hoping so. I've had two people gift me some of the Christmas Gryphons so I have three of each color, I just need a Wyrm now.

I've gotten quite a collection already. A lot by myself and quite a few gifts from others for joining. My darn Mist Stalkers keep gendering female though. I need another male. I want to name one Malachai and the other Mortichai as my "keep guardians." Although I keep getting the feeling the names would suit a pair of Tenabre Foxes better... I love my cats and want cats as my guardians, thus Mist Stalkers as they are my favorite. I like the idea of two tiger sized Mist Stalkers, like stone statues side by side by the door/path, intimidating anyone who comes close. (I really need to read more into the "keep" and what magi are.. I don't want my ideas to clash.)

Anywho, here's my current batch. The Telvian is like a click away from growing up.
