No Mastery at level 80?

So I have a level 80 huntress I want to leave at level 80. Before the patch had hit I had trained Mastery with her. I have several cats and spirit beasts. Now I was in a dungeon with her and saw that the Mastery-buff was missing. I pulled out my spirit beast - and nothing happened. My spirit beasts and cats don't have the Mastery-giving-buff in their window. Don't I get Mastery with a level-stop hunter? Do I have to retame my pets (took me 2 months to finde Loque and Skoll)? Are my cats/spirit beasts totally useless now? Did I really camp them for nothing? I love my pets and I like cats the most. It's really hard to have to know my cats on my lowbies are useless crap now, but on my level 80 hunter it really makes me cry - I know that SBs still provide me with healing, but with levelstop I never get into a bg and I don't need the healing in random heroics EVER.

Wow I didn't think about that. Does that maean Cat's give no beneficial buffs to low levels?

Nope, nothing special that adds to their dps. Every other pet provides more useful things than a cat for a lowbie by now

Huh. Confirmed, my level 30 hunter's cat doesn't have roar of courage available either.

Edit: Ok, well, its doing fine on my lvl 85.... but my lvl 40 doesnt have it anymore. I think its lvl 80 minimum now since its a Mastery buff and we dont get Mastery till lvl 80 :/

It's level 81, sadly. As is Blessing of Might.

Though a Shaman's Grace of Air is level 80... so I'm not sure why BoM and Pets are 81.

Thank you Myzou for looking it up. It really makes me sad to hear, my cats are now all useless for my lower levels and my levelstop hunter

Ah...so THAT'S what happened. My lone survival hunter, the goblin Jaxo, was very confused when Paco, his dreadsaber, wasn't giving a buff post-patch.

I wasn't sure if it was me that was broken, or my install of the game, or if it was a bug. Thanks for the explanation.
