When to use Basilisk Spell?

Could someone please give me some examples of when to use Petrifying Gaze, good uses, etc...I just don't know when to use it, other than just to use it as an interrupt.

I've seen it used in pvp quite a bit, so that's one use.

Other than PvP, there's not many good uses.

Just like a Spider, Silithid, Bird of Prey, Nether Rays, etc. Basilisks seem to be best suited for PvP, but can also be used in PvE to a diminished effect.

Use it on healers while you kill the thing they're healing. It's not just an interrupt; it's a guaranteed short term CC.

It is awesome to see what some of the stuff looks like stoned!

I've also found it useful when dealing with multiple pulls when pet tanking with other dps. Stone the first thing, blink to next, then taunt, etc....
