What's more fun is when you get the fish, hearth and find yourself in a server with a different time zone.Sesamee wrote:Another bit of BS with this CRZ crap is that now winning the Fishing Tournament got even harder. One title is now up for grabs across who knows how many servers. It was hard enough before when you only had to compete on one server. Add in a lot more and it gets ridiculous. It's the only thing I need for my Salty title and I'm not happy AT ALL about this!!

Oh God! That's horrible even worse than the rare in a different server thing.(which I've been caught by)Novikova wrote:What's more fun is when you get the fish, hearth and find yourself in a server with a different time zone.Sesamee wrote:Another bit of BS with this CRZ crap is that now winning the Fishing Tournament got even harder. I just got Ban'thalos and Sambas within about 10 min of each other, both I spotted from a distance and both stayed there when I got closer. And, a /who showed me as the only one in the zone...

Re: Note to Rare pet tamers.
So, not only do we have to deal with idiots from other servers (Yeah, I said it. I'm angry at 99% of the people from Nemesis; pvp-camping buttholes!) we have to fight them to camp rares like the Time Lost?
Re: Note to Rare pet tamers.
Yea there are good things that way as well. I've had a friend who had been trying to get Kirix for over a week and we found him up on Silvermoon. He was able to get on the server as well because I invited him to group. He was really happy. I of course realize that Kirix isn't a hotly contested rare, but still it is nice to know there are some good stories in with the bad.Makoes wrote:I just got Ban'thalos and Sambas within about 10 min of each other, both I spotted from a distance and both stayed there when I got closer. Re: Note to Rare pet tamers.
/who only works for people in your own realm. It won't show people from other realms even though they're there and camping the same rares you are. Checking General Chat might be a better indication of how many people are there. Of course people can opt out of that.Makoes wrote:I just got Ban'thalos and Sambas within about 10 min of each other, both I spotted from a distance and both stayed there when I got closer. Re: Note to Rare pet tamers.
I agree, I have been threatened by my own faction...from another server!! They said they would kill the rare if I even targeted it...I dont know who was there first but it shouldnt matter, if they had been nice and even asked or said something I'd have gladly gone somewhere eles and left the rare to them...but come on..threating as the first thing is just stupid. Our server is a good server and sadly I have nothing but horrible interactions with all the other server people in the zones they are in...I am begaining to seriously HATE this cross server thing.Kirsten wrote:So, not only do we have to deal with idiots from other servers (Yeah, I said it. Re: Note to Rare pet tamers.
You have no idea. I hated the idea when I realized it wasn't just for grouping up, but now it's just ridiculous. I hope Blizzard gets thousands of complaints so they change it, because this is nonsense. It was bad enough trying to find something I've spent over three hundred hours camping, but to share it with people that do nothing but harass you and troll?lilaughingwolf wrote:Our server is a good server and sadly I have nothing but horrible interactions with all the other server people in the zones they are in...I am begaining to seriously HATE this cross server thing.Kirsten wrote:So, not only do we have to deal with idiots from other servers (Yeah, I said it. I never nerd rage, but there you have it.
Re: Note to Rare pet tamers.
IMO, the bugs and glitches aren't the worst thing about this as annoying as they may be. In time they will be fixed. The thing I hate is that not only do CRZ do nothing to solve the REAL problems of low pop servers like lack of a decent raiding pool, poor economies, etc, but the number of servers sharing a zone means that many fewer rare spawns.
If four servers now share Deepholm, that means 3/4 fewer Aeonaxx spawns yet you have the same number of people camping him. If it's 3 servers shared then it's 2/3 fewer spawns, etc. This is huge and drastically reduces the total rare spawns while the demand stays the same.
It's the same with the Fishing tournament. With 240ish US servers this means there was about 480ish total possible titles given out each week (can't recall exact numbers off the top of my head). Now with shared zones, depending on how many servers share a zone, that slashes the available titles by 30, 40, 50, 75%.
I'm probably sounding like a broken record about this but it is a huge problem. It's not about not wanting competition or wanting easy rares or achievements. It's about already difficult things being made many times more difficult with no compensation whatsoever. I'm trying for the Salty title (I wanna be Salty Sesamee so bad!!) so am particularly peeved about it!

Yes! I could care less about competition but 4 times I was on a taxi mount...seen the rare...landed...zoned in/out/what ever the heck it is....no rare....fly out on taxi mount to fly back in to test this and it did it again...could have screamed....tried flying in on my own and same thing...rare...land, zone...no rare...SCREAMS...and the time changes....very anoying.Kirsten wrote:Thank you! Re: Note to Rare pet tamers.
Well, there's at least one or two CRZ feedback threads and a CM or two has posted in them - so you might hit those up. I posted my concerns (Nodes, rares, people stealing DMF rabbit raids on various servers, buggy as all out, etc).

Re: Note to Rare pet tamers.
I dunno, I like the fact that I'm seeing people around. In the early days of wow there was a ton of people on all the time, so the rare competition was just that, a rare competition. And when you tamed the rare it was just that, a rare. These days I think its gotten to easy to get them being on a low pop server and it takes the fun out of it. I hate the fact that I can just fly and go, right there he is, to me thats just another mob now, not a rare, because its not rare for them to be up lol. But that's just my opinion. I'm enjoying seeing a population running around. Dalaran made me sad before this as did Shattrath because I was always the only one there. I dont like playing a game by myself, the reason I play a MMO is to play with other people. If i get into a mood where people start to bug me, I just turn off all chat and whispers. That is very rare for me to do as I like meeting new people. And now i dont have to server transfer to do that. So I say good on Blizzard for doing this.

Re: Note to Rare pet tamers.
'Rare Competition' may be fun for you but keep in mind....not everyone feels that way. I'm on a high pop server and I got enough 'competition' to last me a lifetime.. I didn't pay to play this game for competition. I paid for fun. My camp is enough. I play MMOs to meet new people, not meet new assholes(excuse the french). I also play for my own personal reasons that I like to do by myself. I can play in a fantasy setting and do what I want while learning the story of the game from it's roots.Valfreya wrote:I dunno, I like the fact that I'm seeing people around. A lot of people move to low population servers for the soul purpose to get away from lots of people and it's not wrong for them to do that. Blizz just gave them a big F U to not only campers but to those who prefer to play alone without morons ruining it.

Yeah, I prefer not to have people from pvp servers menacing 'the RP (slur against gay men here)' and threatening to kill my rare or whatever if I don't tame/tag it fast enough. I like low pop servers because I may need to AFK often and it's nice not having to flail and fight for mobs.Jessibelle wrote: 'Rare Competition' may be fun for you but keep in mind....not everyone feels that way. Indeed. If I didn't like the active rp or had so many friends here on Moon Guard, I would've moved already.Novikova wrote:Yeah, I prefer not to have people from pvp servers menacing 'the RP (slur against gay men here)' and threatening to kill my rare or whatever if I don't tame/tag it fast enough. Not to mention, if you don't want to be on a high pop or a low pop server... leave the server..?Jessibelle wrote:Indeed.
