Yeah it popped an arrow on my minimap too but it's smaller and more discretely tucked in the corner on my screen, which I can live with for now. I was just happy to be able to mount, even if I couldn't retrieve my mail, see my debuffs, or anything else. :)

Hmm, but while my mounts macros work, the companion pets macro doesn't. I'll have to mess with it a bit and see if I can get that to work as well.

RandomCompanion has been updated for 5.0 and has been working well for me.

Same, though it tried to give me a Wyvern twice earlier. I set all of my wyverns to 0 :/

To anyone who went with the "Livestock" addon, there was a glitch related to the way WoW now handles non-combat pets, which was making it annoying to elect a companion. Also, since the implementation of cross-realm zones, it was causing some trouble with calling up mounts.

This is all fixed in a very recent update to Livestock.
You can DL it from Curse.

Just to throw it out there "YayMounts: http://www.curse.com/addons/wow/yaymounts is another random pet/mount addon which I have been using since I started having a lot of issues with Livestock. I really enjoy it.

All you need to do is make the macro for it (/click YayMountsButton) or keybind it and then pick which mounts you want to use the most (or stick with all of them)
Like a lot of the others you can pick which mounts you want to randomnly summon, it selects mounts based on your area (ie, flying in flying, ground in ground only, your seahorse in Vash'jir and if you have the sea turtle it summons that if you are in any other water) It has the added bonus of recognising hunters/druids etc and giving you extra options for them too. (for example if I am inside or in motion and use my mount button it will swap me between aspects of my choice - ie, hawk and fox, or hawk and cheetah if I wanted) On druids it will auto use flight form, but if you are in motion on ground/indoors it will cast travel form (or ghost wolf for a shaman) and Aquatic form in the water. (also autocasts levitate/slow fall if you are on a mage/priest)

It also has options for randomly summoning mini-pets too. But I use it mostly for the mounts.

Having tried quite a few other random mount addons, I would say that Yaymounts! is my favourite. (and it is regularly updated - with an active creater/editor)

Thanks to LupisDarkmoon for drawing Raiden for me! Love him!

Livestock also does aspects and forms for druids and shaman.

And it seems to work perfectly since the very last update. I've had zero problems.

And nicely, it works with your mounts and your companions.
And it has options for calling companions or not in Battlegrounds, in PvP, while stealthed, etc...
quite complete.

I seem to keep bumping this thread, lol. I just haven't found another addon that works the way this one does. :) Anyhow I just noticed that someone updated GupPet on Curse and so it now does work for the current patch, though it's a wee bit glitchy due to CRZ.

1. You'll have to reset all your companion settings as the new changes wiped out any old setting you might have.
2. There's still a problem with CRZ where the mount list gets reordered when you cross into an area affected by CRZ (basically it screws up the internal numbering system on mounts, so you're suddenly summoning the wrong mounts because it's looking for the wrong number). The fix listed by user Adorada21 under Comments on the Curse download page seems to work.

So far, I've had absolutely no mount issues with Livestock. CRZ or otherwise, the right mount and pet always gets called.
