Terrorpene Needs a New Name for his New Evolution (Poll)

Hey Petopians

I need some help.
Back when Cata was new, I saw a turtle that I finally wanted to claim. He stood out from others, and was about the only turtle I liked, and needing a tank, went after the rare elite Terrorpene.

After hitting 81, it wasn't 20min did he spawn in the lava pits, challenging every ounce of survival I had. It felt as if he wanted to fight me. Between fighting him, fighting two horde that swooped in horde trying to tame him as well after a few minuets of me trying, and those darn lava pits... he gave me one hell of a ride. I did manage, at level 81 to tame that angry beast, and thus stuck with him since.

He's a beast all around, and always gives me the feel of a rough, tough, tank that doesn't back down from anything.. and I mean anything. This boy has tanked three world bosses in Cata, multiple times.. wrath raid bosses, whole raids, heroic dungeons in Cata... I feel sometimes he's just unstoppable (even though that may just be the turtle fact) It's his overall demeanor.

However, lately he's flame has been cooling. I feel more attached to 'organic' beasts rather then elemental ones. Hence why I had a hard time bonding with a few that resembled such. Terror, though... well he holds a special place - not his skin of colors and fire no.. the turtle all around.

So, Veph's idea made me feel the same way - maybe it's time he evolved into a dragonturtle...
Though, he needs a name fitting for his new shell. Something I can get a feel off of both his old molten self, and his new Dragonturtle body.

I've called him Terror many of times, but it doesn't sit just right. I mostly base my pets names off of some sort of mythological aspect. So, any help for a brute of a turtle with a bad attitude would be greatly appreciated

PS: He more then likely will be morphing into Bloodtooth if I can find him e.e

Charcoal is an enjoyable name, though I might use that for another Terrorpene that's on my boyfriend's hunter

Igneous I really like. It describes perfectly what became of the molten turtle

Ao, A'tuin, Te Honu are all great names, but I'm not sure if they fit this Terror's demeanor. They seem noble, creatures of legend, not like grumpy hostile Terror Though I might be using one of those names for my second Hunter's Turtle once I find one that suits her Thank you!

I have to say I never thought of naming him after one, but that did spark an idea. I tried calling him Loshan, but it didn't seem to sit right. Kilrak did a little more, but I'm not too sure. both great suggestions tough :3

It5 is a good name though.


One that I did think of was Testudo : In Ancient Roman warfare, the testudo or tortoise formation was a formation used commonly by the Roman Legions during battles, particularly sieges.

I was thinking of the Spartan's defense system. However, they used a phalanx (at least I think).

Not sure how well that would sit though. However, I am liking Testudo as well. Now, perhaps a poll....

Testudo is my vote cause it translates into 'tortise' and cause the Uruk-hai used it in LotR
