Thank you! Today was wonderful. I've been wanting to buy this mount forever, and I was finally able to track down a card locally.

Omg Veph I'm jealous. That's like the second mount I'd want from the TCG cards if I was able to afford them, haha. How much did it cost you?

Same, the Corrupted Hippogryph is the one TCG mount I have ever longed for. There are others I would like, sure, but none that I would actually be able to spend the money on or go after with purpose. This one has been on my wishlist since the day it came out, and I finally was able to treat myself to it. After a rough year and a lot of shit happening, I told myself once I got a new job I'd get it. I found someone in my city selling the card and got it for $100, which is cheaper than any on ebay and without the hassle of shipping and waiting. I'm sure some people think that's a waste of money, but I can justify it for myself. It's no worse than a couple weeks of going out for food, or buying alcohol, or going to movies. I don't do all that much anyways, so this is my combined hobby/fun expense. It made me happy, so it's worth it. :)

Wow, that's pretty damned cheap... I believe $100 is more or less around £60-70. If I saw it going for that much, I'd buy it in a heartbeat!

Your transmog matches it so wonderfully as well! May I ask what set that is? (:

Edit: Nevermind, I looked at your armory for it. Forgot I could do that lol. It's an amazing set, I might have to remember those pieces next time I'm in Ulduar. (;

After the BS with losing my Salty title to CRZ bugs having the Drake of the North wind drop definitely lifted my spirits. I think I was my 130 something run. Yay! :D

Veph, that mount is gorgeous! I'm tempted to buy a card myself but I don't know how to track anyone down locally and $200 of real money is something I haven't quite been able to bring myself to do. I keep whistfully staring at the auctions though.

$100 is an amazing deal! People spend ten times that on shoes! Well, some people anyway, lol! This is a game we all spend a lot of time playing and we are invested in it. It's our hobby. People spending money on their hobbies is nothing new. If it's something you like and makes you happy I see no problem with it.

There's one on my server for 150k. I have plenty of gold even though I did just buy 2 sandstone drakes and a bunch of rare pets. Still I'm reluctant. I in game mailed the seller and tried to strike a deal with him last night. We'll see what happens!

Grats to everyone on their new shinies!

I haven't posted in a million years regarding my mounts, but I've acquired mounts I didn't think I would have been able to snag before Mists! Due to my awesome friends that bring me along for raids whenever they have a spot open, I got my Lifebinder's Handmaiden and my Pureblood Firehawk because they were able to get everyone on their raid team theirs, and had time to grab my friend and myself ours! We're now working on knocking out the last few achieves for the DS meta. I'm just over the moon because we ran those last few lockouts just for our mounts. Also snagged a TCG rocket for myself and a Mottled Drake for my fiance (he thought mine was awesome so I thought would be great to get him one since he got me the card for Xmas) off of the AH.

Thing that's awesome about account bound mounts? Instead of feeling compelled to just sit on and stare at my beautiful prizes and wasting time in town doing nothing, I can just use them on my Pally as I level her to 85

Oh, my, golly, gosh..... FINALLY!!!!

After an entire expansion of looking......

Literally the week before then next one is due (as it was teasing me, holding out to the last minute, knowing I really wanted it but just being evil)

And so.. so many... cruddy crumbly statues (/rageface!)

I finally manged to get my hands on a REAL one, and then proceeded to kicked Dormas's ass so hard he wont be sitting for the next week!

Hooray for Camels! :D

This rounds me off at a nice and even 170 mounts going into the next expansion.... (unless I fish me up that dam turtle, but I cant be that lucky... right... Right? :) )

Yes, this breaks my "only white and mechanical mounts" theme.

No, I don't care.

Well, I don't normally post these kinds of things, but I had reason to today.

For some time now Spiritbinder and I have been running Maly, Ony and Kael'thas weekly to try for their mounts. With no luck at all.

Then 2 weeks ago, the Azure Drake drops for SB. Finally, a break!

This week SB was busy so at the last minute I ran Maly with another friend (who already has it). It drops again! So now I have one too! Unbelievable. I am over the moon! But then...

SB logs on after all. So we do Kael. My god, the Ashes drop. I win them. Same night. Actually, by "win" I mean I hit greed and I'm pretty sure SB very generously passed. That bastard. :)

I cannot believe my luck :)

And for all this I have Spiritbinder to thank. He's the one that got me motivated to start running these and is the one who worked out the strategies for two-manning them. Hell, I'm sure if he wanted he could be soloing them now without me (my shammy isn't quite up to that yet) but he hasn't. So thanks Mister :)

The phoenix looks like it was made for MoP, by the way. It looks gorgeous in VEB.
