Woot! Tamed Bloodtooth last night, I can confirm that his tracks still run backwards. Also, thanks for the video on how to find him Kalli, helped so much.

Just popping in to say I tamed Portent tonight! Not the best colour I wanted him in but the second and more unique colour of the two I was interested in.

I wanted to share here for those who want him fresh at level 90. I have not long dinged to 90 and knew I wanted one so of course had phasing issues. I did see the tracks in the far west and then saw them fade away. It did not put me off so I placed myself near the southern end of the lake in the summer fields as Portent's path goes between it and the bottom of the zone.

It didn't take long for him to show, which I was surprised at considering he was walking towards the end of his path in the west end.

So for those who want to give him a go when just dinged at 90 I recommend this spot as it's easy to get a clear view of the whole path and he's not phased out.

I have yet to see ANY hunter with the Pandaria rares on my server so I'm feeling quite proud that I've found and tamed the ones I own. I forgot how addictive this rare hunting thing is! xD

I finally got the cobalt Portent.. dear god...

over several days, i tracked and gave away... idk 20? Portents. Thats probably low balling. I think 75% were green, 24% were red and purple and 1 out of easily 20 was blue. And I tracked a great deal of these consecutively (assuming Portent's timer doesnt go under an hour).

I think blue Portent is the TLPD of Portent's ><

On a serious note, I do wonder if they have it coded where colors are more common than others. On Thrall, I would wager 1000 gold pieces it is the following (not saying its realm specific)

Green common
Red/Purple uncommon
Blue rare

Green portent really does seem to be the most common. I hear of him being spawned so much, across all sorts of realms. ._.

I guess we'll have to see as time goes by if this holds true - it would certainly explain some of his stalking tendencies on the beta!

I have screenshot evidence of Portent respawning within 1 hour, is that of any significance to you guys?

Depends on how close to a reset/restart it was. Sometimes that can throw things out of whack. If there are a bunch of reports of the same, though, it'll become very significant.

I have just reached level 88 and I have tamed Savage and Bloodtooth so far. The only other one I really want is Portent in either Cobalt or Green but it's going to be a few more days before I reach the Vale.

Are the spawn times really as low as one hour?

I took pictures of a purple portent just tamed at 3:01pm today, and then at 4:03 I found a red one walking at least a few minutes into his path. What you want to take away from that is up to you. :)

The only thing I can think of is that these sound like the spawn timers we saw early in the beta, which were 1-2h.

I wonder if this is intended behavior.

So, i stumbled across Bristlespine's tracks at level 87, flared him out, realized he was 88.

Then, right after dinging 88, stumbled across Stompy's tracks, bam, tamed him.

Now i'm sitting around where I know Bristlespine's path to be, waiting....waiting...

Tamed purple Portent at 10-10:30am, around 12:30-1pm tamed red Portent. The timers are definitely short, the challenge is in finding/following the tracks at this time.

Also, red Portent's face is still borked, with red blocks sticking out from where the engraved muzzle-whiskers should be.

This is me rubbing the forums for good luck. I have gotten both Stompy and Savage, and I really really really want Patrannache but I haven't been able to find him yet!

I hope you get him! Weirdly, I had Portent respawn in an hour on me... my forth red one. Please, please show up in blue or purple Portent. *rubs thread for luck*

Edit: I got one green. I <3 him, but like, 5 reds. Seriously? I hear you like to spawn in red, but I'mma have to stop you.
