Still a little unsure with the whole phasing problem

Can someone clear things up for me a bit? I was with my friend from another server (we were in a cross-server party) and we were hunting Glimmer. But as I've read, glimmer has a big phasing problem in the middle of his path, and it was at the time we were exploring this phased area that we both got phased ourselves and couldn't see each other. When glimmer is in this phased area what does it mean? Does he still leave tracks there? Is he still tameable or expose-able in this area? So far he is the first rare that I have checked the path fully and did not find any tracks. At first I thought he wasn't up, but now I'm thinking he was just phased the whole time I searched. How are you supposed to find him? Do you wait outside the phased area?

Yep, the only thing you can do is avoid the phased area. It's really odd; I've followed him through that phased area with him completely visible, but only if I'd marked him outside of it. I haven't had any luck spotting his tracks in there.

Thanks for the info Kalliope! I'm glad to report that I tried waiting outside the phased area, and eventually I found tracks headding in, so I went to the other side and cut him off there! He looks great by my side. I love your videos and I've watched them all heaps of times before hunting my rares. Patrannache was my first, and although I wasn't intending on getting Glimmer, he has grown on me. Portent in green is the last MoP rare in my sights and I hope to get him. As soon as I hit 90.
